SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Plan and personally train staff & public safety officers on active shooter response protocols. Plan for and execute
yearly active shooter drills in conjunction with Passaic County, NJ Sheriff Department achieving a high state of
preparedness.
Plan and authored Situation Manual and implement hostage taking tabletop exercise for upper management and outside
agencies. Successfully complete the drill with after action report.
Updated and maintained three unique emergency operations plans specific to needs of all stakeholders at Passaic
County Community College.
Analyzed risk, procure equipment, and implemented Homeland Security grant for anti-terrorism target hardening
resulting in additional cameras; improved campus lighting, wireless public address units, & card readers for science
classrooms to prevent theft of chemicals for bomb making purposes.
Initiate, redesign, and implement renovation of the Public Safety Command Center into a customer service
compartment and emergency management compartment setting high standards resulting in a more efficient response
for managing incidents. Present results of new command center to Paterson, NJ Office of Emergency Management.
Authored and introduced first workplace violence policy in conjunction with Human Resource Department at Bon
Secours which protected 2,000 employees.
Head of safety committee at Saint Peters College achieving the publication of new Emergency Plans to protect the
college community & the establishment of an off- site evacuation point for entire college at National Guard Armory.

Director of Security
Director for 58 uniformed officers at three campuses protecting students, faculty, and staff. Reorganize department to provide increased
professionalism, increased training and responsiveness of officers who serve the campus community via a community policing model.
Represent College as first line emergency manager for incidents as well as lead person for mass notification software.
Lead department via proactive methodology aiding in the low annual crime rate as noted in Department of Education Clery Report.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Facilities Director; Dean of Student Affairs, and IT Department Chief, as well as
with ranking police leadership within the Passaic County Sheriff Department and Paterson, NJ Office of Emergency Management
ensuring a collaborative approach to security program management.
Represent Public Safety Department on Crisis Behavioral Intervention Team designed to prevent student violence including active
shooter incidents.
Initiate physical risk assessments of campus properties and provide recommendations for improvement to upper management
resulting in increased camera coverage by approximately 35%.

management; investigations; and de-escalation of emergency room patient violence.
Plan and prepare for The Joint Commission re-accreditation with hospital upper management and successfully pass review, 2004 -

Participate in successful Topoff 3 Weapons Mass Destruction emergency management drill with hospital upper management, 2005,

Corporate Director of Security, Transportation, Parking, and Information Desks
Directed security operations, visitor management, and $2 million budgets and expenditures for four departments and 85 personnel over
two major urban hospital locations, and multiple campus buildings. Met with senior management monthly to report departmental
progress. Hired, evaluated and terminated employees.
Lead multiple departments including security, external patient shuttle services, internal patient transporters, parking lot attendants,
and two customer service information desks supporting the Bon Secours mission and providing customer service to patients.
Supported JCAHO accreditation preparation process by analyzing external crime statistics and determining best deployment of
security personnel throughout the hospital.
Conduct fire drills of two hospitals as well as provide in-service training to staff on fire safety and rescue techniques.
Plan, organize, and conduct infant abduction drills at both hospitals ensuring state of readiness.

Managed comprehensive loss prevention programs for two major distribution centers serving up to 700 customer stores. Ensure the
security of company owned product within the five distribution centers as well as in transit to store locations. Manage contract security
force. Partner with multiple departments to include Human Resources and Quality Control to safeguard inventory.
Secure exterior building compound areas by limiting vehicle access to docks to ensure only authorized drivers enter. Perform
random audits of incoming vendor freight to ensure actual product totals matched bills of lading.
Conducted over the road surveillances of employee drivers to ensure delivery route was not compromised, and author an audit
policy to allow for unannounced spot checks of drivers while in transit to stores.
Investigated and followed up on claims of delivery shortages at store level. Partner with distribution center operations management
to review integrity of shipping documents. Travel to store level as needed to search premises for product.
Acted as liaison to security vendors. Purchased an electronic access control system for W. Nyack executive and support offices and
managed the system. Programmed and managed the software.
Investigated employee theft from the distribution centers, develop case documents, and recommended termination of those violating
policy to Human Resource Department, which resulted in approximately 60 terminations (W. Nyack).
Co-chair safety committee at W. Nyack location to ensure a safe environment for employees. Assist by establishing an emergency
response team of volunteer employees trained in first aid and primary response to accidents with distribution center.
Present plan to upper management allowing a loss prevention spot check program using hand held metal detectors to prevent
pilferage. Plan accepted and implemented in W. Nyack location.
