Lumpiang Sardinas

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

This activity aims to create lumpia made of sardines that is affordable, easy
to prepare, and delicious!

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

To be able to teach mothers an easy way to make quality food with an


appetizing appearance without the extra cost.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

To provide cost effective, delicious food for their children


To provide simple yet tasty food that are easy to prepare for the family
To explain strategies to encourage healthy eating thru replacement or more
healthy ingredients
To provide the women with food options for their families

PARTICIPANTS

All women of Barangay Bitik of all ages.

METHODOLOGY

One day prior to activity:

Posters will be placed in the streets and near the homes of the community
members.
The demonstrator, other materials and venue will be prepared for the activity.

On the day of the activity:

Gather the participants for the activity in the selected venue.


Introduce the demonstrator to the participants and begin the cooking session.
Chairs and tables will be used in the activity.

MECHANICS

The participants will be asked to listen to the demonstrator to be able to learn


the step-by-step process.
The participants will have the chance to ask questions regarding the activity.
Distribute food, drinks, and token to the participants after the lecture.

EXPECTED OUTCOME

At the end of the lecture, the women of Barangay Bitik will have an idea
regarding the replacement of meat into mackerel, which is also beneficial for our
health.

ACTUAL OUTCOME

The participants were cooperative and listened attentively.


The participants were able to answer questions about the ingredients used in
lumpia sardines making
The participants were delighted to taste the finished product.

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED

The servings were small. Some children were not able to taste the lumpiang
sardines.
The lengthy cooking because the flame isnt as able as the one used in the
trial demo at home.
Some participants were asking for the dressing of the lumpia.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

The activity received good feedback from the participants. According to them,
it was one of the best tasting foods they have ever tasted among the groups
with cooking demonstrations.
It was well attended by a considerably larger number of participants - 36
women with their children got a taste of our delicious lumpiang sardines.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Prepare more flyers to increase the number of participants.


Encourage other families in the community who lives away from the venue to
attend the demonstration.
