havetoberebrandedandremarketedforcontemporarymenand
women.
Theyforgotthatforsomethingtobeuniversallyaccepted,itmust
becomeasbanal,asnonthreateningandineffectiveaspossible.
Hencethepose.Peopledontlikechange,andsofeminismmustbe
asclosetothestatusquowithminormodificationsinorderto
recruitlargenumbers.
Inotherwords,ithastobecomeentirelypointless.
Radicalchangeisscary.Itsterrifying,actually.AndthefeminismI
supportisafullonrevolution.Wherewomenarenotsimply
allowedtoparticipateintheworldasitalreadyexistsan
inherentlycorruptworld,designedbyapatriarchytosubjugateand
controlanddestroyallchallengersbutareactivelyabletoreshape
it.Wherewomendonotsimplyknockonthedoorsofchurches,of
governments,ofcapitalistmarketplacesandpolitelyaskfor
admittance,butcreatetheirownreligioussystems,governments,
andeconomies.Myfeminismisnotoneofincrementalchange,
revealedintheendtobeTheSameAsEver,ButMoreSo.Itisa
cleansingfire.
Askingforasystemthatwasbuiltfortheexpresspurposeof
oppressiontoum,pleasestopoppressingme?isnonsensework.
Theonlytaskworthdoingisfullydismantlingandreplacingthat
system.
ThatisiswhyIcannotassociatemyselfwithafeminismthat
focusesdementedlyonselfempowerment,whosegoalsinclude
notthefulldestructionofcorporateculturebutmerelyahigher
percentageoffemaleCEOsandmilitaryofficers,afeminismthat
requiresnothought,nodiscomfort,andnorealchange.
Iffeminismisuniversal,ifitissomethingthatallwomenandmen
cangetonboardwith,thenitisnotforme.
Iffeminismisnothingmorethanpersonalgaindisguisedaspolitical
progress,thenitisnotforme.

angry,thatIposenothreat,thenfeminismisdefinitelynotforme.
