INTRODUCTION

1. Introduction

A. General

(1) This Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) agrees with the Air Transport Association (ATA)
iSpec 2200. It is written in ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English when applicable.

(2) This CMM gives the necessary set of instruction at intermediate maintenance level (level 2),
to assure the Continuous Aircraft Airworthiness Operation, testing replacing and/or repairing

or
rF
LRU/SRU/Parts as indicated in this manual.

fo
01
Maintenance information at depot level (level 3) is given in the Component Repair Manual

have special MTOSS numbers because the manual uses Electronic Data Processing (EDP).
irA

The user of the manual can ignore the MTOSS numbers.

B. How to Use the Manual

wn
Do

(1) Make sure the manual contains the applicable data for your component. Look for the part
number on the Title Page.

(2) To identify a part or to find a part number, refer to the IPL, which has an Introduction to show
the procedure.

(3) You must use the instructions in this manual, for all the maintenance steps of a component.
Read all the applicable WARNINGS and CAUTIONS before you do the work on the component.

(4) When you use consumable materials, these materials are identified by a code number which is
listed in the Consumable Materials Table.

TASK 36-11-35-873-801-A01
2. Operation
(Ref. Fig. 9)
(Ref. Fig. 10)

Governed by the temperature inside the piping onto which it is attached, the thermostat provides the
driving pressure to the fan air valve.

A solenoid allows to choose the temperature regulation level, by selecting one of the two rods which acts
as a clapper. The temperature regulation levels are 150 C (302 F) and 200 C (392 F).

or
rF
The temperature regulation level is 200 C (392 F) if the solenoid is not energized (Ref. Fig. 9).

fo
The temperature regulation level is 150 C (302 F) if the solenoid is energized (Ref. Fig. 10).
