Softstarterexternalterminalsconnection

Terminalarebypassoutput,areusedtocontrolthebypasscontactor.Theyarenormalopen
contactsandareclosedwhenfinishingstarting.TheterminalcontactcapacityisAC250V/5A.
Terminalareprogrammablerelayoutput:ThedelaytimeissetbyP4code.Theoutput
commandtypeissetbyPJcode.Theyarenormalopennopowerterminals,beingclosewhen
outputvalid.ThisterminalcontactcapacityisAC250V/5A.
Terminalarefaultoutput,theywillbeclosedwhenthereareanyfaultmattershappenedtothe
softstarterorelectricitylost,whileatnormalcasetheyareopen.ThisterminalcontactCapacityis
AC250V/0.3A.
Terminalareinstantaneousstopinput,thisterminalmustbeconnectedwithterminalwhenthe
starterworksnormally.Butifthesetwoterminalsareopen,thesoftstarterwillstop,andatthistime
themotorstarterisatthestateoffaultprotection.Thisterminalcanbecontrolledbythenormally
closedoutputterminalsofexternalprotectiondevice,anditisuselesswhenthePCcodeissetto
0(basicprotection).
Terminalarestartuporstopinput.Therearetwowaysofconnectionsforyourselection
thoseare3wireconnectionand2wireconnection,see:

timeworking.The20mAisfullscalevalueandthatisfourtimesthanratedcurrentofnominalpower
ofsoftstarter,andwecanconnecta4~20mADCcurrentmetertocheck.Themaxvalueofoutput
loadresistanceis300.

Note:Pleasemakesurethatexternalterminalsareinrightconnection,otherwise,thesoftstartermaybe
damaged.

Softstartermaincircuitwiring

Thesoftstarterisinstalledbetweenthemainsandcabletothemotor.Ifamainsorisolationcontactoris
useditisbestcontrolledbythesoftstarter"Linerelay".

3Wire/6wire:Thestandardconnectionofanelectronicsoft
starteris3wire.Analternativeconnectionis6wireorinsidedelta
connection.Thisiscommonlyusedwhenreplacingastar/delta
typemotorstarter.

Bypass/Continuous:Thesoftstartercanoperatewithor
withoutabypasscontactor.Somemodelsincludeanintegral
bypasscontactor.Thebypasscontactorreducestheheat
dissipationofthesoftstarterasthesemiconductorsarebypassed
aftertheramptime.

MotorProtection
Thesoftstarterprovidesadvancedmotorprotectionwithuser
selectableoverloadclasses,over&undercurrentprotection,
phaseimbalanceandthermistorprotection.Itisimportantthatthe
powerwiringisfollowedcorrectlytoensureproperprotectionand
starterperformance.

Semiconductorfusesarerecommendedforallelectronicsoft
starterstoprovideprotectionofthethyristorsintheeventofan
outputshortcircuit.Semiconductorfusesarestrongly
recommendedforapplicationssuchassubmersiblepumps.
Semiconductorfusesareoptionalwithallsoftstarters.
