DIY Manual of R4DS Skins

After R4DS Kernel upgrade to v1.07, it supports upgrade feature of Skin DIY, which is the
expansion of formal feature of Skin DIY, it allows to all options of text colors on the Skin, the
more features will be added in coming kernel upgrade.

1.The Scheme of The Single Theme of Skin


The Single Theme of Skin includes the following files (non-listed files will be in default):
logo.bmp R4DS Logo on Main Menu
icons.bmp One image on Main Menu
bckgrd_1.bmp Background color on the top Screen of Game Menu
bckgrd_2.bmp Background color on the bottom Screen of Game Menu
theme.ini Options (Currently support colors settings only)
2.Setting File Format of theme.int File
1. theme.ini saved as type of text documents, it can be edited in Notepad;
2. It can insert Space Line if needed, it is definition starting from semicolon ; to the end
of line;
3. theme.ini file consists of paragraph, every paragraph makes the different settings, for
example Paragraph About and Paragraph Color;
4. Paragraph consists of Head and Body, the format of Head is just like an example
[About];
5. Paragraph Body includes all kinds of color settings.
3.All Settings in Paragraph About

1. Title Setting is used as recognition of title of the Skin, for example: Title=R4
example theme;
2. Author Setting is used as recognition of Author of the Skin, for example:
Author=R4 team;
3. Date Setting is used as recognition of the Skin DIY Date, for example:
Date=03/06/2007.

4.All Setting in Paragraph Color

1. Codes of Colors
Color is a combination of six hexadecimal system codes, for example:
000000 represents Black; ff0000 represents Red; 00ff00 represents Green; 0000ff represents Blue,
ffff00 represents Yellow, ffffff represents White ects.;
2. Setting of Color00 is used to color appearance of text of R4DS language version on
the top screen of the Main Menu, for example: Color00=ff0000;
3. Setting of Color01 is used to color appearance of option frame on the bottom screen
of the Main Menu, for example: Color01=00ff00;
4. Setting of Color02 is used to color appearance of text of R4DS kernel version on the
bottom screen of the Main Menu; for example: Color02=ff0000;
5. Setting of Color03 is used to color appearance of text of Options on the bottom
screen of the Main Menu; for example: Color03=0000ff;
6. Setting of Color04 is used to color appearance of Time on the bottom screen of the
Main Menu; for example: Color04=ffff00;
7. Setting of Color05 is used to color appearance of Title Bar on the top screen of the
Game Menu; for example: Color05=400000;
8. Setting of Color06 is used to color appearance of game file names on the top screen
of the Game Menu; for example: Color06=000040;
9. Setting of Color07 is used to color appearance of folder name on the top screen of
the Game Menu; for example: Color07=400000;
10. Setting of Color08 is used to color appearance of Sub-Title Bar on the top screen of
the Game Menu; for example: Color08=400000;
11. Setting of Color09 is used to background color appearance of Sub-Title Bar on the
top screen of the Game Menu; for example: Color09=000000;
12. Setting of Color10 is used to color appearance of Scrollbar on the top screen of the
Game Menu; for example: Color10=ff0000;
13. Setting of Color11 is used to color appearance of text of latest upgrade date on the
bottom screen of the Game Menu; for example: Color11=00ffff;
14. Setting of Color12 is used to color appearance of latest modified file name on the
bottom screen of the Game Menu; for example: Color12=ff00ff;
5.The Scheme of the Directory of Themes of the Skin
Create the dir/directory of themes under the directory of _system_, you can place 12 skins in the
directory of themes folder, which are placed in the 12 different folders named as theme01 to
theme12.

6.Switch of the Skins


If the skin does not exist in the directory of _system_ in TF/microSD, it automatically uses the
Skin from formal Beta Edition; if the Skin exists in the directory of _system_ in TF/microSD, it
automatically enters multi Skins mode.
The Skins in multi Skins mode can be switched manually and automatically, it is automatically
switched with the Skins by months.
The method of the Skin switch is: Click SELECT key in main menu, it switches between twelve
manual modes and one auto mode, the chart is showed as below (It automatically skips if the Skin
does not exist in the directory of themes):
