Photoelectric
Distance Analog Sensors

Distance measurement sensors indicate

target presence and target position using an
analog signal. Visible red light or a laser light
beam is used in a triangulation arrangement
to determine the distance to the target.
Triangulation uses a fixed beam of laser light
to reflect off a target. This produces a
scaled-down version of the target range. The
visibility of the spot makes the BOD series
simple and easy to use in any application. A
PSD (Position Sensitive Device) or a CCD
(Charged Coupled Device) receiver interprets
the position into a voltage. Target distance
corresponds to the sensors analog output
voltage.
