the way you have used TWO of the music concepts in your composition to portray the mood in the
still shot e.g. duration, pitch, structure and dynamics.

ABOVE LEVEL INSTRUCTIONS

In this same film the director is unsure of how to finish off the movie. They know what the final shot will look
like but they are unable to decide on the ending mood. The director has provided you with a still shot and wants
you to compose the music for it. Because the still shot mood is ambiguous they have given you a checklist /
scaffold that they want you use in order to help establish the mood of your choice. This will be discussed in the
Response text type.

Access the Above level still shot located in your drive - Music Image Folder
Compose and notate a two part 12-bar melody to accompany the still shot on MuseScore. Your melody
should portray the mood and emotion that you have decided based on the image.

directions and use of the concepts takes place.

LIFE SKILLS INSTRUCTIONS

You have been chosen to compose a soundtrack to a new movie. The director has provided you with one still
shot from the film and they want you to compose and notate music for it. It is to be written for the piano.

Choose the Happy still shot which will be given to you in an email.
Using the scaffold supplied to you by your teacher, you will complete an 8-bar melody to accompany the
still shot on MuseScore. Your melody should portray the mood and emotion present in the image. Your
melody is to use the C Major scale.
