Chart 10: The graph shows the number of cases of X disease in Someland between

1960 and 1995.

The line chart given illustrates the incidence (lp li ,ch cn N GIN L
PARAPHRASE, thay bng the data on ) of X disease cases in Someland in the
period from 1960 to 1995.

It is clear from the graph that the number of X disease cases showed a downward
trend (sai, v c tng ri unchanged ri gim) in the period of time mentioned.
(sa: the figure of X disease cases stayed at the same highest level over a 5-year
period (1975-1980); whereas, there was no case in the last 5 years.

In 1960, there were 100 people suffering from X disease. This data (data l s
nhiu) remained unchanged in 1965 before sharply rising to 200 cases in 1970.
(C th sa thnh: There was no change in the rate of cases the first half of the
1960s, which is exactly 100. This was, in contrast, followed by a noticeable rise in
the next 5 years, then sharper over the next period of the same number of years,
leveling out at 500 during the period between 1975 and 1980.) 1975 saw a
phenomenal explode in X diseases incidence when it jumped to its highest point of
500 cases and maintained this until 5 years later. The number of people caught X
disease significantly went into a nosedive at 350 cases in 1985, which then
experienced a dramatic drop to approximately 0 cases in 1990. In 1995, X disease
was almost wiped out from Someland. (on ny nhn chung l tt, ch sa s:

Chart 12: The bar chart below shows the percentage of students who passed their
high school competency exams, by subject and gender, during the period 2010-
2011.
The bar graph illustrates the rate of high school students passing their competency
tests, by subject and gender between 2010 and 2011.

It is clear from the chart that girls achieved better results in exams than boys,
except for geography.

Pass rate of both genders was approximately the same in mathematics, foreign
languages, physics and history. Whereas, in other subjects, the results were quite
different. Girls had the largest pass rate (56,3%) in computer science examination.
This figure is 14,2% higher than that of boys. The percentage gap is even bigger in
chemistry in which there was 30,2% of girls passing (twice as much as boys).
Geography is the only subject that boys did better than girls. About 30,4% of boys
passed the exam while just 20,1% of girls did that.
