"Implementation of Virtual Training System for the enhancement of the skills of
teachers of the National University Andina"
General Objectives: • Implement the Virtual Training System for the enhancement
of the skills of teachers in the Andean nation University Specific Objectives: 2
. Implementing virtual training platform through a learning management system
Project Planning
1. Structuring the pedagogical design for work in virtual learning environments
according to the nature of content 2. Develop the organizational structure of ad
ministrative and academic Virtual Training System 3. Train the trainers for the
development of computerized instructional materials and management of virtual di
stance learning. 4. Train teachers in virtually modern methodologies for the dev
elopment of learning activities
Project Planning
3. Universe of Users: Users • Identify beneficiaries, institutions, communities
to whom they are directed the project. • Define the roles, needs, constraints, s
trengths and expectations of beneficiaries.
A). Participants. (Teachers).
It consists of the 345 teaching staff Andean nation, which have no educational t
raining and work in appointed and contracted condition. Participants have the ne
ed to acquire skills in the methodology of teaching and learning in technical, c
ommercial and health€the nature of their work prevents them from attending train
ing in person.
Project Planning
B). Tutors (trainers).
The trainers are professionals with training and experience in teaching and lear
ning methodology, but have no background in distance education systems, virtual,
and therefore require action will be trained in virtual tutoring
4. Project Definition:
• • This is a detailed and concise description of the actions ordered in time fo
r the achievement of individual objectives. It is advisable to divide the projec
t into phases of work
Project Planning
To meet Goal 1:
• • • Select the LMS that fits the educational needs of the institution determin
e the technological and technical requirements for the installation of LMS LMS C
ustomize according to the educational needs of the institution and participants
characteristics. Structure-based learning methodology in the mediation of the co
mputer resources of the LMS determine the content and activities developed to im
prove teaching skills. Develop instructional materials in digital formats for di
stribution by the LMS
To meet the objective 2:
• • •
Project Planning
5. Defining the content: • According to the nature and scope of the project obje
ctives are presented by content areas to develop
The methods and learning techniques
• • • • Methods for the development of thinking global learning methods and prod
uctive information-processing techniques applied learning techniques
Project Planning
6. Technical model of teaching:
• • Structure the pedagogical model of the application of technologies in the te
aching - learning, according to the user characteristics determine the design of
materials or resources needed for educational use of ICTs.
The teaching model is based on face no synchronous and asynchronous activities i
n a constructivist learning framework, where the teachers act as facilitators of
learning, by providing self-instructive and further reading material with which
students interact to generate knowledge through virtual discussions and academi
c activities (Webquest, portfolios, assignments, workshops, forums, etc).
Project Planning
Teacher Interaction Student Bibliography Materials
Original material structure Assisted Learning with learning resources in digital
form, summaries, concept maps, glossaries, recommended online.
Project Planning
7. Tool definitions:
• • Determine and define the technical characteristics of the tools necessary to
manage the EA process and describe the basic technical requirements of users fo
r the use of the tools
The platform should be allowed to have the following areas: administration, educ
ation or activities, assessments, work groups, resources or materials and access
to the WWW, enabling to support the work within the framework of constructivist
education. With a philosophy of work that requires minimal information.
Project Planning
8. Definition of the platform: • Describe the organization of the implementation
of technological infrastructure (equipment, environments, programs, connectivit
y, organizational structure)
It requires the implementation of a LAN for central management of virtual traini
ng with Internet access steadily and the creation of centers of academic and adm
inistrative support at headquarters Lan Network - Server - PC's

9. Evaluation methodology and quality control:
• • Determine criteria or aspects to be evaluated (impact, use and relevance of
the tools and methodologies implemented) Determine the evaluation period (one ev
ery year or every 3months)
Annual assessment of the following • Assessment Tools. Understand the impact ass
essment, use and relevance of the tool by users and tutors. • Evaluation of the
Methodology. Referring to the evaluation of the methodologies introduced in the
teaching - learning Non-virtual and the achievement of learning. • Project Evalu
ation. It includes the assessment of the achievement of targets set for each sta
ge of project implementation
