How to use matlab report generator

1- Open matlab program

2-write (report) in the command window and
press Enter button
3-The report explorer will open and this photo will
appear to you
4-The report explorer consists of three panes as
shown in previous picture
Outline pane, library pane and properties pane
5- The outline pane shows the component you
open it from the library pane

6- The library pane consists of objects available to

you to use it
The library pane also contain file that has ready
structure you can choose it and add file to it or
remove from it and contains also a lot of
component like page title ,table of contents and
paragraph etc
7-Properties pane make able to change the
component properties that you choose it from the
library pane
How to create the (pdf) file
After writing (report) in command widow Choose
(mfile-report.rpt) by pressing double click on it to
have a ready structure and you can add or remove
any thing you want
Adding in general by pressing double click on
anything you want from library pane
Removing in general by selecting what you want
and press on the delete button

This is the ready structure that you chose it

When you press a click on the report mfile-
report.rpt
The second on appears in the photo you will notice
that you will find properties that you can change it
in the properties pane

Directory: choose custom and choose a place to

save your( pdf) in it
File name: choose it custom also and write the
name of the (pdf)
File format: choose (pdf) from it
The third name in the photo (eval-functionName =
peaks ) this make you able to evaluate
anything in the base work space you can delete it if
you want
The forth name (title page)when you click on it you
will see that you can write a title of the page and
subtitle and you can put image you can write the
author name and creation date all of these thing
will appear to you in the properties pane
From library pane you can choose (paragraph) and
write in it anything you want and you can choose
(chapter/subsection) and write the name of the
chapter

The important component of these components is

the component that its name is (Eval-%evaluate
peaks in base work )
This component makes you able to put a code that
contain a plot in properties pane and the plot will
appear in the (pdf) file

There is also a component figure loop section to

put a figure and a table shows properties of this
figure
You will also find in the library pane loops like for
loop and while loop and also logical if
You can add any component much more as you
want
And you will finds arrows to be able to order the
component
Finally when you file finish the report

Press on the (report) in the tool bar
