- What is sampling? Give examples of where sampling has been used in

music production.

- How can sampling be used as a starting point for composition?

- How does MIDI help the composition of music?

1.2 Apply research activities to support solutions to a production design brief in

music performance.

- How did you use this research to help decide which samples to use?

- What factors do you need to take into account when using a sample,
e.g. with timing perhaps?

- How did you fix any problems (length, clicks, timing/tempo)?

2.1 Demonstrate the ability to plan, organise and present solutions to a

production design brief in music performance.

- What was the brief, why do you think there were certain limitations,
and how did you prepare?

- Show evidence of planning your sessions. Why is this important?

- What sample/s did you choose and why?

- How does the Arrange Page, and other functions, allow you to organise
each session?

- How have you used plug-ins (effects, dynamic processors, etc),

you to create your tracks?
