Learning for All: Whatever It Takes

Lauren Lampron, Principal Rashard Curmon. Assistant Principal

Dear Parents:

Our number one goal each day is to transport all student bus riders safely to and from school. In order to
accomplish this goal, we need the cooperation of other drivers on the road and student bus riders. Good
student behavior while entering, riding, and leaving the bus contribute in many ways to safe
transportation. Such conduct makes it possible for the driver to give full attention to the roadway and
other drivers.

Please take a few minutes to review with your child the information below concerning student conduct on
the bus. The primary purpose of rules and procedures on the buses are for the safety of all students.

Parents and students are reminded that riding a public-school bus is a privilege. The same rules for
behavior on campus apply to behavior on the school bus and at the bus stop. Noncompliance with these
rules will result in disciplinary action, such as suspension from the school bus or from Pattillo Middle. In
the event of a bus suspension, other transportation will need to be arranged by the parent.

Parents are also reminded that it is a chargeable offense to board a school bus. If you have issues with a
driver or students, you are to contact Mr. Curmon, Assistant Principal at 252-883-7508.
