1 Timothy 4:1-2 NIV

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and
follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come
through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot
iron.
C. Demons are real. They're just waiting for the right time to deceive Christians. Those
with lesser faith will be deceived by what they think they're hearing is God but
actually the demon. This chapter reminds us that we should be wise so we can
determine the evil and the good. And how will you know it? Read the Bible...
Everything is in the Bible. It's a manual written by the people anointed by God so that
we will find no reason that we are innocent when judgment comes. Actually, it is us
who does not want to be taught. We throw out what we don't want to eat and just eat
what we like. We don't listen because we think we know. Submission does not mean
you're fool it only means you are eager to learn and to submit to the Lord. Not
everyone is called to be a preacher; some are called to be a listener, a follower...

D. If we choose heaven then we should be:

Attentive and observant.
We must learn to submit ourselves to the preacher.
We must be perceptive by meditating the word of God day and night.
We must be open to rebuke whether it hurts or pinch your ego. Remember an ego is not a
ticket to heaven.
Be vigilant in your faith. Check it if it's increasing or if you really have one.

E. Not all preacher is from God. Some are just preaching in order to deceive or other personal
motives. When the preacher does not care your salvation then he is not from God. Be reminded always
that God gave His son in for us to be saved. Only through Him we will be save. Be a good listener and
planter. Don't just listen, plant it also and cultivate it so that you will be an inspiration to others.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 NIV

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as
apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel
of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of
righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

C. Concealing and hiding the true you will not last. If you are a true follower of God
you will obey God's command. You will obey His teachings. Don't pretend to be godly
when your heart is filled with filthy things. God can see us. People might not know
who we truly are but we can never fool God. God hates liar. Your actions will someday
be punished equivalent to your actions.

D. God wants us to be pure, honest, direct, transparent, godly, trusty, fearful to commit
sin, faithful, and most of all He wants us to be loyal to Him. Hiding what's inside you
might deceived but not to Him. Remember He is all knowing God. Nothing can be
hidden to Him. Even if God sees what's in our heart sometimes He intended to close
His eyes and listens to your explanation. That's how much He loves us. Even if He's
always right He pretends to be wrong to give us the chance to change because He
wants us to be saved. He is Abba Father and a father never wishes for His child's
destruction.

E. I want to be true to God. I want to be His clingy daughter who can't live without
Him. I want Him to know every detail. I want to be transparent to Him so that He will
also be transparent to me. I want to listen to His voice and follow Him. In him I can
only find peace. In Him I can say I'm truly living.

Acts 16:16-20 NIV

She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, These men are servants of
the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved. She kept this up for
many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to
the spirit, In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her! At
that moment the spirit left her.

C. When somebody is bothering us we can rebuke the spirit inside that body in Jesus
mighty name and it will stop harassing you. God has given us this power to be assured
that when your in God nothing can harm or touch or hurt you. You just have to
practice that power and to strengthen our faith towards Him.

D. God wants us to be like Jesus and the other apostles before us, wherein they are not
scared to practice the word of God. The boldness that they had, the eagerness to share,
the thirst to learn more, the hunger to study God's word. We tend to forget that
without Him all our efforts, hardships are meaningless. We cared so much of our life
in this world that we forgot the life waiting for us when we die. If we don't start now,
when? He wants us to walk by faith that every step we take is a step closer to Him not
getting far away from Him.

E. I want God to strengthen my faith so that like Paul I can rebuke the devil bothering
me. I want to be the light that attracts people to come back to God. I want to be an
instrument to others life that in me they will find that God is within me. I can't do that
if I won't be practicing God's word, if I don't have the boldness to use them. I know
God will somehow help me overcome all these fears and replace it with boldness,
determination, persistence to share and preach the good news to all my friends.

Luke 10:19-20 NIV

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to
overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not
rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in
heaven.

C. Let's not be happy because we have power against our enemy but rather be happy
when your name is written in heaven. I'd rather be mocked here on earth and be
praise by the angels in heaven. Everything here is temporary but not heaven. So it's
better to find spiritual satisfaction than earthly. Live like you are already living in
heaven. And to do that you have to follow the rules and commands of the most high.

D. God wants us to value heavenly desire than earthly wants. In heaven there are no
sorrow, no temporary happiness, no sickness, no dying all is perfect and complete in
heaven. No more thirst and hunger. Through God you become complete.

E. No matter how bless you are on earth it's nothing compare to what's in store for
you in heaven. Although God has given us power to defeat our enemies it is still
greater privilege to look forward to staying in eternity with him.

John 5:19-20 NIV

Jesus gave them this answer: Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing
by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the
Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he
does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will
be amazed.

C. Jesus cannot just decide in his own without the permission from the Father. The
father does what He wants but He also allows Jesus to do things because of His love to
His son. In relation to human father, a father wants that his son does what he does.
For him it's an honor. He feels proud every time the son do good works. God allows
Jesus to do what He does because He knew that the son is doing what pleases Him. It's
the trust He gave to Jesus.

D. As His child God wants us to do good deeds like what His son Jesus did. He wants us
to practice godly way because it pleases Him. It makes Him happier. He wants to give
us reward if we follow Him. He may be strict or most of the discipline us because He
loves us and He wants to correct or remind us that the way to heaven is not easy. He
even let His own son died and suffered in the cross how much more us. Only the
faithful, patient, godly, holy, and persistent will see heaven.

E. Sufferings, trials are tests that only us can answer either we will survive or fail
because it is how God mold us. If we consider ourselves as His children so I think we
could claim what His son can do. Nothing is impossible with God.

1 Corinthians 13:9 NIV

For we know in part and we prophesy in part,

C. God has provide us guidelines, decrees, manual on how to live here on earth.
We know that because during our forefathers He allowed them to witness His
power, greatness and miracles that no other can do. They were provided with
commandments that until now some of the faithfuls follow. They were allowed to
foretell in order for us to be ready. It's a gift given to the Christians.

D. God would like us to practice what He gave us the power to prophesy and use it
to save souls. When we don't apply we learned, what was taught by the prophets
during our ancestors time then it becomes pointless. And you know what God do
to useless tree right? He will cut it down. If you don't want to be cut down then be
His child who follows what the father says. Be obedient in His command by not
questioning or murmuring. Learn to follow your elders or your Pastor because
they are your shepherd brought here on earth to watch God's herd.

E. I need to claim that gift if I want to receive it. It was given to me ahead but was not
able to use it because I lack faith or I lack the ability to be quiet and to listen to Him. If
maybe I will learn to submit His will then maybe He will show me wonders and great
miracles that he showed to my forefathers and to Abraham. If He gave it to our
ancestors then He can also give it to us. We only need to have faith and the boldness
to claim and hold on to His promises.
