Sumerian(theoriginatorsofthescript),thenAkkadians,then
Emalites,andrightuptoOldPersian
Reflectsthevariedhistoryoftheregionduringthisperiod

Sumerian Cuneiform
TheSumerianpeoplesettledinthisregionofMesopotamia(Iraq),
replacingoldersettlersintheregion.Theybroughttheirlanguage,
culture,agriculturalmethodsandtechnology.
Around3300BC,whenthefirstclaytabletswereemerging,they
languagethatwasusedwasSumerian.
Thiswasthelanguagethatwasforminglinksbetweensymbolsand
thespokenelement.
