The death is such a truth that everyone observes it in his daily life

and be going to experience by himself at least once. However, its real

sense is not clear to many of us. It is stated as end of life but in fact,
it is the end of a phase of life, not the life itself. The life remains and
we still exist, only frame of reference is changed and our existence
re-defined. We have five senses which are limited to this physical
world.some persons have an additionalcalled 6 th sense (I shall
describe later some time). Once we cross these limitations, we start
experiencing unlimited spiritual world and begin to understand real
meaning of death.

Hazrat Allama Iqbal says:

Mout ko sum-jhay hain ghafil ikhtitam-e-zindagi
Hai ye sham-e-zindagi subh-e-dawam-e-zindagi
(The ignorant consider death as end of the life. Whereas, it is
evening of this life and dawn of permanent life)
Our cosmos is continuously changing. This constant change is also
taking place within our physical body (old cells are replaced with new
cells) and within non-physical part of ours (Like thinking, desires,
knowledge etc.).

Hazrat Allamah Iqbal says:

Sukoon mahaal hai qudrat kay karkhaney mein
Sabat aik taghayyur ko hai zamaney main
(There is nothing permanent in this universe except change )

Death is our transformation to another existing world with a change

in the parameters of existing life. One of the challenges in defining
death is in distinguishing it from life. Death would seem to refer to
either the moment at which life ends or the state that follows life.
Medical science is also unable to give exact definition of death. See
the following lines from Wikipedia:
Death was once defined as the cessation of heartbeat and of
breathing, but the development of CPR and prompt defibrillation
has rendered that definition inadequate.
Today doctors usually turn to brain death; persons are considered
dead when the electrical activity in their brain ceases.
Many have challenged the idea that brain death is equivalent to
the cessation of consciousness. Critics point out that much of
human consciousness is embodied in numerous body parts and
that the end of electrical impulses in the brain does not necessarily
indicate that this embodied consciousness has also ceased. Given
this possibility, brain death does not necessitate the end of
consciousness, and thus brain dead people may still be alive . (Ref:
Wikipedia).
The death and life are creations just like other creations. The death is
not cessation of existence but a certain state of our continuous
existence.
See the below translation of verse from Holy Quran:

He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of

you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-
Forgiving
The death is not our end but beginning of a new phase, with the
separation of body and soul. The various terms used for death also
indicate this transfer to another existing world like Intiqaal (Transfer),
Visaal (To meet), Demise (from Latin, to send away), Passed Away etc.
Read the below translation of verse from Quran-e-Kareem which
explain this transfer from physical world to the spiritual world, which
is free of time and space limitations:

The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take

your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord.
One needs to understand the real meaning of death. The death is a
relative term. It cannot be applied with the same meaning to
believers and non-believers. This can best be understood in the
light of Holy Quran.

What! Do those who seek after evil ways think that We shall
hold them equal with those who believe and do righteous
deeds,- that equal will be their life and their death? Ill is the
judgment that they make.
It means that life and death of believers and non-believers is not the
same. According to Quran non-believers who appear to us as alive are
in fact dead.

Now see the category of believers in the following verse which tells us
that those who are slain in the way of Allah (SWT), appears to our
eyes as lifeless, are in fact very much alive:

And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah:
They are dead. Nay, they are living, though ye perceive (it)
not
The Quran-e-Kareem forbids us to say or even to think about the
individual slain in Allahs way as dead but declares them as alive.

The person slain in the way of Allah (SWT) is known as SHAHEED

(Martyr). This word is relevant to the witnesses (who testify) or to
martyr. It is beyond any doubt that those who are slain in the way
of Allah (SWT) are SHUHADA.

If this is the life of SHUHADA then what would be the life of those who
are higher in ranks. The highest rank is of course our Prophet (SAW).
