In response to today's ruling. I am glad that there has been some justification for the
seniors and taxpayers in Derby. 'Part of being committed to an open and honest
government here in Derby, is that we can now identify when there is a mis-justice going
on. It is so unforgivable to me that someone would steal from our seniors.

"As soon as we discovered that something was wrong with the books at the Senior Center, I
made a leadership decision to remove this employee from her employment. Forensic
accountants agreed that this was the right decision, because any delay could have resulted
in further hiding of the evidence."

"It is so unfortunate that all of this happened, but I am glad for the seniors and taxpayers,
that we uncovered it and reacted in a swift and decisive manner.
