history. Some of the things done in the name of
Christian religion are indeed shameful. Let us be
wise to analyze the current religious temperament
of our country in the light of history. We now have
a responsibility to be informed and accept these
facts with humility and be a bridge between com-
munities. The love of Jesus is capable in enabling us
to reach out to people of other faith and be a heal-
ing balm in these troubled times. The damages of
the past cannot be undone, but new history can be
created. One that follows the words of Jesus to
love one another and to be a pillar in the society
without any prejudices to caste, creed or religion.
