Tax Deduction
The tax deduction of mortgages is unfair to poor people. While Americans might think the tax code is
generally unfair about half said they think they pay the right amount in taxes. More than 50 percent of
respondents said that they think the tax system is unfair, and 57 percent of them said they are most bothered
by feeling that the wealthy dont pay their fair share. In the early 1970s the tax loopholes mainly benefit the
rich only. Some will say that the regressive taxation would be unfair to the poor because it places a
disproportionate burden on them. Even with the poor doing so much work they got paid so little.
The poor tax rate for low-income is lower than the average of 19.8% In most cases they say
low-income households owe no income tax. They dont have to owe because generally smaller amounts can
be exempted from smaller households and larger amounts from larger households. In contrast, the average
payroll tax rate for households in the lowest income quintile is 6.4 percent very similar to the average rate of
6.9 percent for all households. The payroll tax is by far the most significant federal tax for households in the
lowest income quintile, in terms of how much they pay. Rich people believe I create my life. Poor
people believeLife happens to me. They say a lot of poor people make excuses for themselves. From a
percentage basis, each person pays an equal amount of their income towards taxes, and from an absolute
basis, richer people pay more. Only for the poor people that work hard still get low pay.
The poor that dont work get paid 3.3% - 7.3% and they don't have to pay taxes. The Urban
Institute-Brookings Tax Policy Center estimates that 46 percent of households will owe no federal income
tax for 2011. A widely cited figure is a Joint Committee on Taxation estimated that 51 percent of households

paid no federal income tax in 2009. I support helping the needy I oppose funding the lazy. They are saying
the people that dont work or trying to find work or lazy and that they wont help you if you can't help
yourself but if you have work or looking for work they will help you as much as possible. The figures for
2009 are particularly anomalous; in that year, temporary tax cuts that the 2009 Recovery Act created
including the Making Work Pay tax credit and an exclusion from tax of the first $2,400 in unemployment
benefits were in effect and removed millions of Americans from the federal income tax rolls. Both of these
temporary tax measures have since expired. That are some of many reasons why they say the poor is poor.
The tax deduction are claiming their being unfair to the poor because they are being lazy. They feel
they should be able to go out and find a job rather it's a full or part time job. As for the poor they are saying
tis hard to find work in some places. Some are single stay at home moms. The tax deduction feels they
should work period and the poor say they try and find work. The put in so much work and get paid so little
and the ones that dont work get paid so little they feel either way they arent getting paid enough. I feel that
the poor that work should get paid at least middle class prices are around their. As for the poor that dont do
anything I feel they should go look for work. If they dont work then I feel they should go to school I feel
like there's no excuses to not do something to get some type of money. The poor and the middle class work
for money. The rich have money work for them because of the hard work they did you can do it too.
