My parents both worked full-time and seized every

opportunity America provided to pull our family into

the middle class. Its time to rethink our priorities and
make American success stories, like my own, attainable
for all families in the Hudson Valley and Catskills.
That is my mission.

Antonio Delgado and his wife, Lacey, are raising their two
young boys in Rhinebeck. Antonio was born and raised in
Schenectady. Antonios family benefited from a better regional
economy during his childhood, which helped lift his family into the
middle class. While at Colgate University, Antonio never took his
opportunity for granted. He was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship and
went on to study law at Harvard. More importantly, that is where he
met his wife, Lacey, who grew up in Woodstock, New York.

After graduating from law school, Antonio co-founded an organization that sought to empower young
people through musicto reach those who were lost in the system. Antonio says of that experience: If you
listen to these kids, get to know them, you learn that there's more untapped potential out there than
our system seems to be able to reach. That needs to change."

Today, Antonio is an experienced attorney in a variety of areas, including complex commercial litigation
and contractual matters. He has used his platform as a lawyer to also pursue criminal justice reform.

Antonio's story is rooted in the American ideal that our children might lead better lives than our
own. He's proud of what his parents accomplished. Both worked for General Electric in Schenectady for over
a decade and recently retired as civil servants of the great State of New York. Through their own success,
Antonio was able to create new opportunities for his family. And that's what the American Dream is about.

Antonio is exploring a run for Congress because Washington

seems more concerned with preserving power than with helping
our neighbors achieve the American Dream. He and his family
understand this region because they grew up here. Antonio shares our
values and will fight to make sure every family is given the opportunity
to lead better lives. He will ensure that our government is truly for the
people and by the people.

We must ensure that our political leaders stand for truth,
care deeply about what is just and fair for all people, and
have the work ethic and know how to tackle big issues.

I want the communities that raised us to no longer feel

abandoned by the folks we send to DC. Now, more than
ever, we need to fight for our values and the American
dream.
