To Whom It May Concern:

I am honored to write this letter of promise for Yesenia C. Navarro-Anaya, a graduate of the
Loyola University Chicago Master of Education in Higher Education Program. For the past
year, I have been Yesenias supervisor for her position as Graduate Project Manager of the
LUConnect Program a newly launched mentoring/networking program at the University.
Throughout this time, Yesenia has consistently exceeded my expectations in a role that
requires: advanced organizational skills, technical know-how, analytical thinking, exceptional
interpersonal skills, cross-campus collaboration, strategic planning, independent decision-
making and an excellent work ethic.

Yesenia is an exceptional team player who never fails to meet a deadline or go the extra mile.
She brought a mature, talented skill set to a role that requires a professional who can not only
manage the technical and administrative responsibilities of the position, but also the
interpersonal and emotionally intelligent student-facing aspect of the role. She is an active
listener who offers her full attention and carefully listens to ideas.

One of the areas I admire and appreciate most about Yesenia is her proactive approach to the
LUConnect Project Manager position. She consistently comes up with new ideas and ways to
improve our program a critical value to a program still in its infancy. In addition, she has
handled with grace some challenging interpersonal communications with alumni who either
do not understand the program or have problems or concerns with its technology. Yesenia is
a seasoned professional who never fails to overcome a challenge.

She has gone above and beyond the requirements of the position by volunteering for many
student outreach opportunities that were never a requirement of the job. This has
significantly contributed to the programs success in recruiting student users. She has helped
our department improve cross-campus relationships through her positive interactions and
steadfast approach to informing campus partners about the program. This has led to an
increase in alumni recruitment for our program.

Yesenia is the ultimate professional who can offer advanced analytical and interpersonal
skills to her next role. Her background in project management, recruiting and customer
service make her a well-rounded professional who could do well in any area she chooses to
pursue.

Sincerely,

Brigette Petersen, M.Ed., LCPC
