There no other science facilities within the school expect the science supervisor and

laboratories. Besides that, they established laboratories this year so they are process to

evolve the science areas within the school.

In addition, Ms. Diana helped us a lot to determine the most important science materials and

tool could be used in each experiment lesson.

However, I noticed that they utilized the boards in the corridors to display something related

to the science as the figure below is shows.

Reflection

Throughout task one which School Profile I had an enough background about school areas,
teacher, and coordinators. Besides that, this work contributes to show me apparently, the schools
capacity, facilities and unique features that they provided.

As I observed, GEMS Westminster school do not have enough areas for


science. For instance, they have only one stuff room for science teachers,
coordinators and teacher assistant which the old physical laboratory.
Personally, I count science as one of the important and essential subjects
regarding the valuable knowledge that each child should be aware of it.
Speaking for myself, as teachers we have to encourage student learning
science by implementing efficient strategies and devote some school-
corners to science subject. I do believe that the previous suggest
recommendation will contribute actively to enhance students love science
and make it more appealing to them. Figure 1 the old

On the other hand, the positive feature that GEMS Westminster school applied for science is they
employed various experienced teachers, and they gave them different duties. For example, the
head of science teacher role to divide the works between teachers and gather for checking, while
the teachers are split into two groups the first are responsible for laboratory and the second group
are responsible for the regular science classroom. In my perspective, following this approach will
establish a cooperative learning environment and will immensely build an active relationship with
colleagues.

All in all, I enjoyed exploring my new school, and I had a beneficial conversation with stuff there.
Moreover, I did this task during my very first training week which was a great beginning for me
to meet school-teachers and know more about school spots.
