Journal Week 4

How did you feel about TP today/this week? What areas are you focused on and what progress have
you made? Explain.

My general feeling for this week is good. The area that I have to focus on it is doing hands on
activities for exploration part in lesson plan during explaining the lesson.
What duties / activities did you carry out during the school today? Critically Reflect: Did you feel that
you did a good job?

In this week I prepare myself for second observation to explain the lesson for them and I was correct
students book when they finish answering.
What was the most interesting science activity or strategy you saw? Why did you think it was
interesting and worth noting/remembering?

I did for them different kinds of activities such as: creating moon phases, playing a ball by asking
different kind of questions. It was interesting because I think that students understood the
lesson and they did everything correctly. But my MCT say that the students didnt understand
the lesson.

What did you try out? Was it successful? Why/why not? Which TP competencies do you feel you
achieved and which do you think that you need to focus on next time?

The group rewards system was successful with me because students become better they were listening
to me, paying attention etc. to get a gift.

What was the most important thing you learnt about students or teaching science today? Can you
think of any way you could better engage students in any activity you saw today?

I learned from my teacher that in the beginning the lesson she wrote which subject we going to take,
the date and learning objectives after that she asked them to read together to know what they will do
during the class.

Critically Reflect: Identify an aspect of your own behaviour (e.g. time / behaviour management) that
you feel you could improve upon. Discuss ways in which you could improve this.

I did a group reward system for them to manage their behavior and it well.
