OBJECTIVE
Provide an android application that facilitates its users to post the problems
relating to infrastructure, cleanliness and any other issue that might prevent
them from living in a healthy and well maintained locality in the form of camera
clicked photographs. These clicked photographs are geo-tagged by the
application allowing tracing the exact location of the issue reported.
Report these issues to the concerned authorities that would be using the same
application to view the problems, most severe being the most prioritised on their
list and issue a status update to the addressee. Since the users can react to a
posted problem, the severity of the problem is evaluated on the basis of the
number of reactions it attracts.
Involve functionalities allowing one to post a problem and also view the problems
that have been posted by other users. This feed will be created based on the
current location of the user.

MOTIVATION
The leading motivation behind this project is the problems that we face every now
and then but remain seemingly helpless in seeking a responsible and a responsive
system that could be addressed. The idea to develop a common platform, that could
be accessed by the majority and allow them to post the problems that they and their
city face, have the concerned authority participate on the very platform and update
on those issues, should not remain just a fragment of imagination.
An android application of this sort would allow the users to report any major/minor
problem prevailing in the vicinity and get an apt response from those responsible. It
would not only eliminate the harassment a citizen has to face in a government office
while registering a complaint, but would bring the authorities closer to the people
they are accountable for.
DESIGN
Figure 1 represents the basic architecture for the application. The app accesses
the data from a SQL-based remote server with the help of PHP APIs.

The applications provides for 2 different interfaces, the user-side and the admin
side. The users post the problems while the admin monitors and caters to the
issues.
In this scenario, the admin would comprise of the various municipality bodies
responsible for basic amenities like roads, water, electricity and cleanliness. The
access is protected by username and password allotted to each department.
Once a user is registered, s/he is provided with various modules to view the
problems prevailing in the vicinity of his/her current location (Fig. 5), view and
modify their profile and also post a problem of their own by clicking/uploading a
geo-tagged image under the concerned category along with a description (Fig. 3,
4).
The user can also react to various problems as displayed in the feed. The more
the number of reactions, the greater the severity of the issue.
On the admin side, the admin is reported problems relating to their department
only prioritised on the basis of severity. An action of either accepting the issue or
discarding it is allowed. The user who posted the issue is notified of the action
taken on his posted problem.
OUTCOME
The youth being the harbinger of revolutions in the society, this application very
well presents with a platform for them to show their concern for their society and
raise their voices.
Inspired from the leading social networking applications, this application is
interactive and thus is very engaging.
It would allow the administration to be on their toes as and when the citizens hail
their help.
Below are the screenshots of the applications UI to demonstrate the basic
motive.
