Before a child is born, a father and a mother made the decision to bring life into the
world. It took two to make a child, and it takes two to continue to teach and raise a well-
rounded member of society. Typically, mothers are the ones who teach the child how to
take care of themselves, and that also influences a childs psychological development.
Having a father figure in a childs life can bring a lot of psychological benefits, such as,
development of good self-esteem, social skills, confidence, etc.

Your family has a lot to do with how you view yourself. Body image is completely
psychological, and how you view yourself can really influence how you live. As a child,
you look up to your parents for support. If your only support system is constantly
downing you, it wares down on your self-image, and causes self-hate. As a parent, you
should support your child and accept them as they are, because you are the only person
they have at the time.

Everyone has different characteristics and features. In this world, no one is the exact
same. When it comes to hair type and structure, not all hair can be cared for the same
way. Hair comes in all types, from the straightest of straight to the curliest of curly.
Someones hair can be the darkest shade of black, or the lightest platinum blonde.
Learning an individuals hair type should be taught at a young age to assure and
maintain its healthy state. Parents are a big influence on a childs personal development
in taking care of their hair. Because no ones natural hair is the same, they have to make
an individual and unique way of taking care of it.

Learning good personal hygiene is a good way to having a good life. As a child, these
skills must be taught to maintain a good hygiene regiment. Having good personal
hygiene can have good psychological benefits that will stick with a person. Along with
bathing regularly, washing hands, trimming nails, and oral care, a child must be taught
how to take care of their hair as well. Hair is very important, and because natural hair
isnt a widely popular subject, there is a different way of taking care of it. Having a good
hygiene routine can protect against disease, help self-esteem, improve mood, and
improve a persons view of themselves. Parents who teach their children how to take
care of themselves, can be a good bonding experience for both the child and the parents
as well.
