The Awakened Citizen Program

Objective To help students generate examples of a vast range of creative activities that they do as
children. The key idea by learning and growing, by facing and overcoming challenges, by taking
up big goals and accomplishing them and by improving oneself continuously. The review of this
session was done by showing four more slides, one after the other. In this exploration, there are two
possibilities unique (12), universal (6). And universal possibilities can be subdivided into two -
physical (6) and knowledge (6) possibilities.

Introduction:

As per schedule, The Awakened Citizen Program for class VII started on 16/10/14 and
continued on 23/10/14 also. The topic was: Expressing myself.The teachers were-Mrs.R.M
Saraswathi and Mrs.Krishnapriya. The teacher, Mrs. Saraswathi gave an intro. to what the
programme is about. The nine introductory slides were shown to the students and explained in a
simple way, very briefly.

During these classes,students were helped to recognise that when they choose to unfold this
possibility of expressing themselves, it opens up one more dimension to our personality and several
of our qualities and capacities that lie dormant within us get awakened through it.

world.
The story of Stephen Leacock's On
saying please - the four magic words,
Please, Sorry, Excuse me, Thank
you, was told by the teacher and the
importance of being simple, humble
can awaken our possibility of living in
harmony.
The story of two goats on a bridge
was also discussed to stress upon this.
The Dharmas to be followed
according to the Manu Shastra to
live in a harmonious way was also
discussed.
A quick quiz on do's and dont's to
live in harmony was also done.
4 February Consolidation of modules taught Since our HA madam-Mrs.Revathi
26/02/15 Krishnamurthy had visited our class-
VII student's Science
Exhibition(Projects),this class was not
conducted.
Instead, it happened on 09/03/15 by
Mrs.Krishnapriya.

(Universal possibility) started to arrange the desks,zip

proper posture etc., The overall
neatness of the class was

the conflicts among themselves
were becoming minimum.The
disagreements between them
were also minimum.
