ACI 3157-93 Is a selection of fifty-eight foldout drawings, accompanied by
‘commentary, for both nonhighway and highway reinforced concrete structures.
{twas prepared in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration and with
the cooperation of the Engineering Practice Committee of the Concrete Rein-
forcing Steel Institute.
‘The engineering drawings for nonhighway structures were selected from plans
of actual structures. They have been modified where necessary to conform mora
closely with "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (ACI 318-89)"
and to illustrate recommended methods of presenting the design information
needed to make the placing drawings. The designs for highway structures are
presented to illustrate the use of accepted methods for delailing reinforced con-
crete highway structures (though the drawings may not represent the best or
most economical bridges for conditions shown).
