MAJLIS ANSARULLAH PHILADELPHIA

ANSAR ACTIVITY REPORTS AND PHOTOGRAPHS
By the sheer grace and mercy of Allah, we in Philadelphia majlis get the opportunity to try to
serve humanity in the best possible way. In this regard, for the last one year, we have adopted a
shelter in Upper Darby. This is a shelter where approximately 150 people are served dinner on a
daily basis. Various churches and synagogues sponsor and serve daily. One Nasir, Saadat
Abdullah, had been very active here, volunteering 1-2 hours daily. This diligence has worked
rightfully, and now he is the managing committee of this shelter.
We as Ansarullah served here twice last year. This was with the gracious approval from Sadr
Ansarullah USA, under the Special Ithar activity. In-Sha-Allah we shall be trying to do the
same this year. However, on the other hand, we few Ansar volunteer some time, whenever
possible, to help out distribution of food at this shelter. Also, we as Jamaat Philadelphia have
started participating by sponsoring the event. Above photograph is of an event on March 9,
2007. We see 5 Ansar helping out from preparing the food to its distribution.

Chanda Ansar Hall

Majlis-i-Shura of 1996 had recommended building a hall, Ansar Hall, next to Baitur-
Rahman Mosque. This proposal was approved by Hadrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (rahimahullah) in
1998. At this time we have opportunity to build this hall at the Baitur-Rahman Mosque as part
of the extension project that is to be completed by next year. The Ansar Majlis-i-Amila made
recommendation to build Ansar Hall as part of this project and this request is approved by
Hadrat Khalifatul-Masih Al-Khamis (ayyadahullahu binasrihil-aziz).
In order to meet our commitment of raising $500,000, as stipulated in the original proposal,
we must contribute generously towards this fund. May Allah enable Majlis Ansarullah USA to
fulfill this obligation, Ameen.
