HewasspeakingattheCollegeandAwardsDayofManipalCollegeofDentalSciences(MCODS)hereonSaturday.

AccordingtoapressreleaseissuedbyManipalUniversityhereonSunday,Prof.Byrappasaid,Everyoneofyoushouldgotoaruralcentre,a
ruralplaceandseetheconditionoftheruralpeopleinIndiaandseewhatbestyoucando.Thatwillbeagreatcontributiontothecountryas
adoctor.Contributetotheruralhealthcaredevelopment.

Urgingstudentstoshowpassionandlovefortheprofessiontheyhadchosen,Prof.Byrappasaidthattheyhadchosenanobleprofessionto
servehumanity.Henarratedhisownexperiences,particularlyhowhegotexposedtonanotechnology,toenumeratehowdedicationand
commitmenttoaprofessionwasimportant.

H.VinodBhat,ViceChancellorofManipalUniveristysaid,Thereisaworldofdifferencebetween,tobeconsideredoneofthebestandtobe
consideredthebest.MCODShascomealongwayfrombeingnumbertwotosomeotherdentalcollege,tobeingnumberoneinthecountry
byallsurveys.Moreimportantly,itisrankedbetween50and100amongdentalcollegesintheworldbyQSRanking.
