Letter of Recommendation for Jeremiah Palicka

I am most pleased to recommend Jeremiah to you as he

completes his Nursing degree. I have known him for the past
seven years and have seen him grow into the man he is, the
student he is, and the nurse he is becoming.

Jeremiah is a man of many talents and virtues with a deep

core. Whether working with the general public, securing a
safe experience, delighting in anothers humor, or attending
to the physical and psychological wounds he encounters,
Jeremiah is a man who I trust, enjoy, and believe in.

He is also a remarkable adult student. In a very short time he

went from not believing in himself to becoming a confident
and successful A student, to seeing himself as a nurse with
a mission. More than a job, he sees his work as life giving
and life saving: physically and psychologically. I have found
him to be a person of depth and substance.

He is also the growing nurse that one would want at their

side either as a fellow healthcare worker or patient or
patients family member. He is strong and tender, firm and
friendly, confident and humble.

I have taught adult students at Loyola University both in the

undergraduate and graduate schools for the past 30 years.
Given my personal encounters with Jeremiah and his
academic track record I can say with full confidence that he
ranks in the top 2% of all of the students I have taught. He is
bright, willing, able, and a man for others.
I also teach physician and nurse executives for the American
Association for Physician Leadership around the country over
80 times per year. From my dealings with them, hearing
about their lives and struggles, and having witnessed first
hand their day to day lives in the Emergency Department,
Medical Floors, and Surgery I can think of no other partner to
have at ones side to see and to do, to learn and to discuss,
to console and to celebrate with than Jeremiah.

Clearly I like this guy! More so I think you will also. He will
give you his all, he will take supervision well, and he will be a
credit to your department. Id want him as my nurse under
your supervision and Id trust him to work with my family in
a time of need also. He is a good man, a solid learner, and a
nurse in the best sense of the word.

I recommend him without any reservation what so ever.

Sincerely,

Kevin E. OConnor, LCPC, LMFT, MA, CSP
