Figure 1 shows the frequency distribution of brands of mobile phones used


by students. Consider data obtained from a simple random sample of 40
students regardless genders.

Brands of mobile phones

Based on the histogram above, it shows that approximately 33% of the


students use Samsung brand of mobile phones. This proves that Samsung
brand is one of the best seller mobile phones compared to others. Besides,
some of the students, which are 20% of them also, prefer to use other
brands of mobile phone than the top five brands listed which are Samsung,
Sony, Apple, Lenovo and Nokia. Furthermore, it can be seen clearly from the
graph that approximately only 8% of the students prefer to use Lenovo
instead of others.
c) Draw a cumulative frequency polygon for each sample. Estimate the
median.
