In a globalized world with its ever-increasing need for energy and values, Allied International Group is a reference point for
excellence in the manufacture and sale of fittings, piping, bends, cladded products and special products for the entire energy
market, from chemical and petrochemical plants to the power sector, from oil&gas to offshore and nuclear.

The Group was founded in 2000 by two well-known business managers in the buttwelding fittings sector, Valter Alberici and
Marc Herzstein, with the aim of becoming a global organization able to impose its own leadership on the world markets.
Its prestige is well-earned and brings with it the guarantee of the specific historical skill of its production units that makes it
unique, the capacity to explore the future with continual technological innovation, high quality that is also certified by interna-

into a proper relationship.

Today the Group is made up of production, sales and representative units on a worldwide scale, while still maintaining unity
through its shared cultural and organizational roots. Its headquarters are in the town of Nibbiano, Piacenza, Italy from where
it operates close to even the furthest-away clients, in collaboration with the most highly accredited engineering companies
and for the greatest energy generation and distribution projects, along the lines of the internationalization principle, which
aims to bring places and people closer in a dynamic exchange.
The Groups strength lies in its management of the whole cycle of production, distribution and warehousing of fittings and
piping. It has achieved its target of becoming a one-stop solution partner for its clients.

Working so that energy may cross the world.

Working with passion and skills of our people.
In this way even our energy becomes strenght,
safety and productivity that comes to everyone.

Company profile
Rarely can an Italian manufacturing company boast of a profile of this level, due in particular to a history that makes it unique
in the market, and to an ability that has won it the title of Fittings Academy.
Founded in 1954 and incorporated into Allied International Group in 2003, Tectubi Raccordi was, and continues to be to-
day, the first Italian worldleading manufacturer for all types of buttwelding fittings to be used in nuclear power plants, thermal
power stations, LNG plants, oil&gas and water pipeline transmission systems, offshore&subsea and petrochemical plants. It
is the top supplier of superpipes for nuclear power station main steam.

For over half a century the company has collaborated with the most important engineering companies associated with these
projects, offering the market first-class reliable products and services with the highest degree of technical skill, and putting
technical services at the clients disposal for any request connected with material, design, production and all relevant inter-
national specifications.

Quality assurance, economic growth, environmental protection and human respect are fundamental to that success, but
the prestigious position of Tectubi Raccordi largely depends on the superior craftsmanship capability and experience of its
workers, together with technological innovations and continual planning by the internal engineers, because the company
is not new to this principle of always looking to the future through research and innovation, while it is a historical company,
which has its roots in the far-off 1950s.

Tectubi Raccordi network
Tectubi Raccordi has its headquarters in Podenzano (total area 59,000 sqm), separate facility at Calendasco (total area
8,800 sqm) and its large new plant at Castel San Giovanni (total area 251,000 sqm), all of which lie in the Italian province of
Piacenza.
This company has been author and protagonist of the history of Italian fittings, and a cutting edge manufacturer for over 50
years for the world nuclear market, and it has still understood the value of fitting the most advanced technology in its plants.

Other production units in Italy and in China complete the range on offer for the mother company:
OMP Mongiardino-Tectubi Raccordi Bending Division in Carbonara Scrivia, Alessandria, Italy, for the produc-
tion of seamless and welded large-radius bends by hot induction and cold bending.
Gieminox-Tectubi Raccordi Welded Pipes Division in Schio, Vicenza, Italy, for the production of heavy wall
welded pipes, longitudinally welded clad pipes, bi-metal lined pipes.
Tectubi Tianjin Fittings in Tianjin, China, with its representative office in Beijing, for the production of seamless
and welded elbows, seamless and welded tees, caps, barred tees and special products.

Also contributing to the whole picture:

Tectubi Raccordi Korea, the commercial office in Seoul, in an area that is essential for technological innovation
and competition, providing a very welcome opportunity for comparison and the offer of products for all the various
energy markets, especially for the nuclear and thermal sectors.
Tectubi Raccordi Abu Dhabi, UAE, a commercial office providing direct support for Middle Eastern clients and
projects.

The Tectubi Raccordi new plant
This new plant is proof of how Tectubi Raccordi, with its strong roots, faces the future and turns its plans for expansion,
technological advancement and cultural progress into something concrete.
Situated in Castel San Giovanni, Piacenza, Italy, the plant occupies an area of 251,000 sqm and is dedicated to the produc-
tion of seamless and welded mandrel elbows in carbon and alloy steel up to 56, reducing elbows up to 24 and all kinds of
large size fittings up to 120 with a yearly capacity of 30,000 tons.

A mandrel machine of huge proportions - with its length of 66,5 mt, width of 7 mt. and the max. working force of 1,800 tons -
operates here, capable of unequalled production and many different performances. Unique in Europe, and probably in the
world, this new machine is able to deform a tube of 13 meters and to produce elbows with a diameter up to 56 and a wall
thickness of 2, with a heating capacity of 850 for 11.5 tons of material per hour, achieving in one hour what previously took six.
Precisely because of its distinctive innovative technology, it aims to increase production capacity by 60%.

In this way an advanced technology project comes to life, developed as a result of the constant research and innovation
philosophy that drives this company. One reason why the new facility is its pride and joy is the visible testimony of possible
harmony between industrial development, economic growth, environmental protection, human respect and widespread
enhancement of the community.

For its manufacturing process Tectubi Tianjin Fittings uses metal sheet or pipe, which may be sourced either locally or
imported, but nevertheless from suppliers with the highest certificated quality. The companys welding procedures and the
qualifications held by its skilled welders are endorsed by Lloyds Register.
Several large capacity mandrel bending machines offering a wide performance range have been installed in the Tianjin fac-
tory. These machines are capable of producing elbows with a diameter up to 44 and a wall thickness of 2 at a rate of 4
elbows/hour.
Tectubi Tianjin Fittings is proud of the special care taken in the heat treatment phase, which is carried out with equipment

Company profile
In November 2009 Tectubi Raccordi formed a newco with OMP Mongiardino, founded in 1968, the first Italian company
to manufacture, by hot induction and cold bending, large-radius elbows for oil&gas ducts and every type of industrial or civil
plant, with a high standard of production and the most experience in this field.
Their special strength is the fact that the company is the sole depositary of a registered and copyrighted industrial patent of
a process for the cold bending.

The aim of OMP Mongiardino-Tectubi Raccordi Bending Division is to increase the Tectubi Raccordi product range
with special bends, so as to better support its clients projects in the oil&gas markets. Precisely with this aim in mind, the
company has created a large industrial hub in Carbonara Scrivia, Alessandria, Italy, with a total area of 50,000 sqm, and
transferred there the whole manufacturing capacity from the historical Genoa area.

OMP Mongiardino has an efficient quality assurance system which, with the help of customized software, enables the entire
manufacturing and commercial process to be checked throughout, right from the entrance of the raw material to the delivery
of the finished bends, and ensures trackability and identification of the product at any moment. In addition, continuous upda-
ting of the reference documents, regular audits, internal and external training courses and the analysis of statistic indicators
ensure very high quality standards and high customer satisfaction ratings.

Products & target markets
OMP Mongiardino-Tectubi Raccordi Bending Division produces large radius bends and cladded bends at a highly spe-
cialised level for the energy markets and, in particular, for oil&gas and power plants worldwide.
The company uses hot and cold bending processes to treat carbon and alloy steel for moderate and elevated temperatures,
high yield steel, carbon and alloy steel for low temperature service, stainless steel, austenitic/ferritic stainless steel, nickel
alloy, titanium alloy and aluminium alloy.

The parallel market of civil engineering and street furniture brings together manufacturing technical skills and aesthetic quali-
ties, meaning that this companys hallmark is also present and appreciated in Italian and European towns and cities.

The cold bending method for large radius bends, which is the result of a registered industrial patent still used exclusively by
OMP Mongiardino-Tectubi Raccordi Bending Division, delivers an identical structure to that of the original tube, which
means that the product, if its mechanical characteristics comply, does not need further heat treatment.
However, it is well-known that hot bending produces a structure that is metallurgically different compared with the straight
piece, which means that it needs to be heat treated to make it uniform.

Cold bending
Thanks to the patent of the process for the cold bending, which makes it unique, the company produces pipes made of
carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex and titanium, welded (SAW or ERW) or seamless, with diameters ranging
from 2 to 60. This bending process allows for the manufacture of a wide range of products, ensuring a high standard of
quality in the production of bends with radius exceeding 5D and angles up to 180, ensuring also negligible ovalisation and
minimal thickness reduction. The finished product is delivered with gauged, chamfered and bored ends, with a regular sur-
face without imperfections.
A continuous electronic control system allows monitoring of the bend throughout the manufacturing process and a detailed
report at each step of the bending process.

Hot bending
The Company already uses two induction bending machines at its factory, model Cojafex PB 600 and PB 1000, and has considerably
increased its production capacity with the purchase of a new electric induction machine, Schfer SRBMI 1400 already fully working.
This machine enables the company to deal even more completely with the needs of its clients, with products ranging in diameter from 2
to 56, bending radius from 400 mm to 10,000 mm and thickness from 7 mm to 100 mm.
All the machines are interfaced with sophisticated computers and are provided with a global control system, which enables them to adapt
autonomously to variations in load, while maintaining control over key process parameters, like temperature, in order to reduce heat
losses to a minimum. This ensures that the material properties are retained even after the bending and eventual heat treatment process,
in accordance with applicable specifications.

Cladded pipes
Today, great efforts are made by the pipeline industry to satisfy the need to transport gas from distant regions to the final
market and to find new solutions in terms of both design criteria and new high performance materials. Material resistance
requirements are growing due to the fact that the new fields are increasingly likely to be located in deep and ultra-deep water,
where pressures and temperatures are higher and the environments are more corrosive.

In this situation, low-alloy carbon steels tend to be structurally adequate, but they lack corrosion resistance. On the other
hand, stainless steels and nickel alloys resist corrosion environments, but they lack strength and their cost is excessively
high. However, pipes, bends and fittings made from metallurgically-bonded clad plates are both a good technical and eco-
nomic choice for the transport of oil&gas.
Nowadays clad materials, i.e. low-alloy carbon steel with a thin layer of a Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA), are increasingly
considered to be a suitable solution to the most demanding requirements for strength, corrosion resistance and cost-
effectiveness arising from flowlines designed to carry wet, corrosive oil&gas production streams with high pressures and
temperatures.
In a clad pipe or fitting, the unalloyed carbon steel sustains the internal and external pressure, while the high-alloy cladding
provides the corrosion protection.

Gieminox Tectubi Raccordi is perfectly able to provide the oil&gas market with any kind of clad products and to plan im-
plementation also for power generation with a flexible technological solution, the full range of products and related techno-
logical services.
