county, city, and time each event will take place. The specific counties were chosen
based on previous election results. According to the 2006 and 2010 election results,
there were more counties that voted Republican in 2010 than 2006. Most of the
counties that were chosen for this years election were the ones that switched to
Republican in the 2010 election. We want to make sure that those counties continue as
Republican counties because every country counts considering Illinois always tends to
be a Democratic state. For example, our first stop will be in Lake County. This county
voted Democratic in 2006 and then Republican in 2010. We will be doing a speech
here in hopes to continue the support. Counties that will be visited for the same
particular reason will be: Hamilton, Henderson, Calhoun, Fulton, Knox, Putnam, and
Lasalle. These counties can also be considered swing counties. Since these counties
have had changes with their winning parties the past elections, their party this election
is also unpredictable. The Jackson county is the unique one that is being visited. In the
2006 election, the Republican party won it. However, in the 2010 election, it was lost.
We are visiting it in hopes to win back the votes because it will be crucial in the
election. Lastly, of course, we are visiting Chicago in Cook County. Chicago has
always been known to win the Democratic vote. Most candidates win because of this
county. However, it is important for us to hit this location because we can potentially
lower the votes that go towards the opposing party. It is also one of the most populous
locations in Illinois and we want to promote Bruce as much as possible. The citys
Democratic reputation will not scare us, it will be a motivator to maybe change history.
It will be the last place to promote our campaign. In addition, the city that was chosen
for each county is where the county seat is located. Doing the speeches at the county
seats makes the campaign more effective. We hope that these cities will help spread
Bruces compromises and influence others to stand with him. Moreover, we have
spread our visitations throughout the months between August and November. We have
attempted to schedule three speeches each month. One speech is planned within the
first week of the month, a second in the middle, and a third in the last week of the
month. It is important to spread the dates and to fit as many as possible to have the
portray Bruces commitments. There is also a variation in times the speeches will be
occurring. The majority of them will be happening in the evening, 7:00 P.M. We found
this time to be when we can get the most viewers. Most citizens are off of work at this
time. A majority of families are having dinner at this time and watching TV. However,
we are also mindful of the different lifestyles. We made sure to fit in other times. We
were able to fit in a few morning and afternoon speeches for citizens that work at night.
We do not want to miss any opportunities to expose viewers with Bruces campaign.
We want everyone to vote because each and every one counts. The time is an
important factor of this campaign because it determines who is all targeted. All of the
campaign locations will be taking place in different buildings and locations. When
accessible, they will take place at a school. Some will also take place at the citys hall.
Some will also be outside. We are excited for the trip this itinerary will take us on. We
