EPiServer Digital Experience Hub for Salesforce CRM

Episerver Digital Experience Hub for Salesforce CRM

Leveraging the power of Customer Relationship Management and web content
management, Episervers connector for Salesforce helps marketers, sales teams, and service
groups effectively manage their online presence. The connector offers unparalleled competitive
advantages for companies to advance their omnichannel stance.

Episerver Digital Experience Hub for Salesforce CRM automatically exports form data
from your website to your Salesforce databases by mapping Episerver form fields to Salesforce
database fields. This information can then be used to provide customized website visitor
experiences, personalized to their particular interest areas.

Keep Salesforce Data Up to Date

When a form is created or edited inside Episerver, a relationship is established between
the Episerver form and objects in Salesforce. Forms fields are mapped to the objects properties
and a workflow is created for the form submit event. Upon submission of the form, the workflow is
executed and does several things:

Maps the form fields to Salesforce objects, converting to native Salesforce objects
Calls the Salesforce API to create/update the native Salesforce objects
In the Episerver Connector, takes the id of the native Salesforce object and relates it to
the visitor who submitted the form.

Personalized Experience Using Salesforce Objects

When an object such as a lead or contact is saved in Salesforce, the Salesforce id is
related to the Episerver visitor as part of the workflow executed by the form submit event. This id
can then be used to customize the website visitor experience. Personalization lets you
personalize website content to specific visitor groups so that different content is displayed to
different visitors, bringing a more personalized website experience. The personalization feature is
based on the visitor group criteria concept. All Episerver products contain criteria that are
ready-to-use, but you can develop your own criteria.

Visitor group criteria are the basic building blocks of a visitor group, and each criterion
defines a condition that is evaluated to determine if a visitor is part of the visitor group. If a
sufficient number of criteria in a visitor group are fulfilled the visitor is considered a member of
that group.

Episerver Salesforce Connector Configuration

The Episerver Digital Experience Hub for Salesforce CRM is configured as an Add-On to
the Episerver CMS or Commerce platforms. Four different databases in Salesforce are supported:
Account, Campaign, Contact, and Lead.

Episerver form fields are mapped to Salesforce fields using a common forms interface in
the Episerver CMS. Once the database is specified, Salesforce field information is retrieved from
the proper database and each field is mapped. Any field can be mapped to any Episerver
