Reflection on my written assignment

Through completing my text-based assignment, I learned the extensiveness of outlines,

and processes, needed to really prove a topic with thorough, evidence-based, and researched

material. In the end, it was my well thought out opinions, class learning objectives, and

substantiated research that aided me to create a genuine piece of literature and to explain, in

depth, the contributing factors, latter effects, and proposed solutions to the horror that is domestic

violence. In the prewriting of my project, I not only changed my topic multiple times, but also

had multiple techniques that I had followed.

I had decided in a community problem that was being abused in not only our

communities, but in our nation, consideration of personal insight along with the research that I

had conducted regarding my topic, aided me in how I would be expressing emotional relevance

towards the situation that is currently a growing situation in our nation. My choice of clip art that

was used in my assignment, expressed the violence which is being incorporated in the entire

paper. I had networked into the near community, and asked friends, neighbors, and relatives what

their personal insight was regarding this community problem, received a variety of different

views, and experiences that they have experienced. Using this strategy aided me in

comprehending what it is to be a victim of such a situation.

Not only was this project an emotional rollercoaster while writing and researching, I also

felt very sympathetic for the families that have suffered from this horrible problem. I do believe

that my project, and testimonials that I have related to my paper would aide a future victim to be

targeted of such abuse, and be able to locate help either in a hospital, clinic, or law enforcement.

This was far from enjoyable to reflect on, I believed that this paper could reach out to women
with children that are afraid and not in the right mind to remove themselves and families from a

home of such abuse.
