Reflection on visual assignment

In my opinion, it is not only relevant to explain a topic, such as domestic violence, in a

literal, and essay format, fashion; it is also significant to enforce this disgusted topic in a visual,

and eye-catching, sense in order to exemplify a more intense revelation of this persistent, and

existing, dilemma common in many households. With the facts and visual/ auditory aide, I can

explain, discuss, and reveal domestic violence for the despicable act it is, how it prevails in our

society, and what is being done to eradicate it from existence.

After multiple attempts, the choice of background images chosen were used to describe

the relation between what feelings would be expressed with the information that I had

researched, and found that the loneliness and abuse would be perfectly added to help my

audience feel the emotion I was trying to have felt throughout the presentation. The song choice

was a perfect association to the entire presentation, it not only had a sad and gloomy tempo but

the lyrics related to the lives of an abused person. I had played my video not only for my peers,

and for my family members that were questioned regarding this horrific situation. The reactions

that I was receiving from all whom had watched my video were of sincere sadness, and even that

of regret. I did take the suggestions that were given to me from my audience and made necessary

updates, and made my video a lot more interesting with factual information I had found in

articles, books, and websites.

The biggest challenges that I encountered were that of not knowing exactly how to

upload my information on to YouTube, and locating current graphs that would be able to be

associated to my visual. I learned so many new techniques that could be used in future

assignments and even in creating new websites for any other reason.
