The table above matches the new 2012 FPLN codes with the old FPLN codes and the AIRBUS aircraft capabilities. Aircraft capabilities are either basically fitted on the
production line (BASIC) or retrofitted (OPTIONAL), based on 2012 AIRBUS policy. Some aircraft capabilities may have been declared basic (e.g. FANS A+ on
A330/A340) or optional (e.g. ADF on A330/A340) from a certain rank. It means that :
- Some older aircraft may not be fitted with some capabilities that have been declared basic after their deliveries.
- Some recent aircraft may not be fitted with some capabilities that have been declared optional before their deliveries.

This table focuses on the correspondence between the letter codes and the overall AIRBUS aircraft capabilities. It is the Operator's responsibility to fill in the Filed
Flight Plan by using the correct codes reflecting the current aircraft configuration for a flight in conformance with regional rules (e.g. AIP) and MEL requirements. The
table is provided for information only and AIRBUS S.A.S shall assume no liability for any damage in connection with the use of this table.

In addition, the reading of this table should be completed with other materials containing additional guidance (e.g. ICAO, EUROCONTROL, FAA).

NB: Operating some aircraft capabilities requires an operational approval. This table does not presume any approval granted to the Operator by its Authority.
Operators should declare such capabilities in the filed flight plan only if they have the proper operational approval.

Codes that are or were not allocated are not reproduced in this table.

t d to
t consult:
lt
- The Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM), in which most capabilities are listed
- The Operator's Engineering, which is able to identify some capabilities requiring the knowledge of P/N installed on the aircraft.

AIRBUS will not provide the capabilities of a given aircraft with regards to the ICAO FPLN 2012 as:
- Some Service Bulletins may have been embodied but not reported to AIRBUS
- Some capabilities may be supported by Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) solutions that AIRBUS is not aware of.

FANS A+ is compliant with EUROCAE ED-100A.
FANS B+ is compliant with EUROCAE ED-110B.

NAV GBAS Landing System: Certification on A330 in progress.

RNP APCH with BARO VNAV: Compliance with EASA AMC 20-27 available on A330/A340 and in progress on A320/A380.
RNP AR with or without RF: Certification on A380 in progress.
RNAV 5/2/1: All AIRBUS aircraft are qualified for RNAV 5/2/1 operations with the use of IRU. Operations without IRU are not permitted.

SURV Transponder - Mode A and/or Mode C: Few A300-600/A310 and former A320 aircraft may be fitted with this kind of transponder.
