CAQUET

Caquet is located to the south-east of the country. Florencia its the capital city.
Limit in the south with Amazonas department and Putumayo, in the north with
Huila and Meta, in the east with Guaviare and Vaupes and the west with Cauca.
Caquet has 16 municipalities; they are:

The climate of Caquet is warm- humid, whit temperatures around 32C.
The staple food in Caquet is (Yuca, bananas, ahuyama) this is sowing to the
south of the department also some fruit how (pineapple, chontaduro, caimo,
caimarones, lemon and the typical fruit; Araz) in the north the staple food is
(rubber, yucca,) some fruit how copoaz, papaya) is very famous because San
Vicente del Caguan and Puerto Rico are cattle regions.
The dishes of the region are: Sancocho de gallina, pescado moquiado,
esponjado de araz, torta de yucca, sopa de guineo, maduro con queso,
envuelto de maiz, caldo de cucha, and carne a la mamona in (San Vicente).
Is very common that you see in the north of the department some products
derivatives of the milk how (yogurt, cheese, buttermilk, and arroz con leche) in
my opinion is more tasty the yogurt.
My favorite food about the Caquet is Sancocho de gallina; and my favorite
place is San Jos del Fragua and San Vicente, because you can enjoy the
weekend with the family and friends, you can enjoy the river, the songs, the
food and you can drink some beers.
