Working Title:

Equality in PR

Research Question:

The number of women involved in Public Relations have increased dramatically, however, are

there hiring standards that prevent gender discrimination in place?

Working Thesis:

Gender discrimination illustrates how an individuals sexual orientation can be scrutinized

differently. However, the main focus lies within the wage gap among men and women. Even

though statistics demonstrate the increase of women involvement in the public relations field.

Unfortunately, it reflects the stark contrasts and inequality of wages between men and women.

Therefore, gender discrimination is subtly causing the huge wage gap between the two sexes.

Introduction:

For starters, Public Relations is the creation and maintenance of an organizations various

publics. In other words, it is usually being practice by the type of attention is being received or

other types of communications. In todays era, Public Relations are being practice by the use of

social media. It often occurs among women and girls. In the field of Public Relations, researchers

have statistically proven that more females are proactively involving themselves with every

position in the industry. The number of females being proactive in PR has increased, but there

the males. I will be using this article in helping me with the counterarguments. This article has

stated how females are dominating all PR jobs than males, but ironically in this websites article,

they used evidence on how many females do not like working with other females. Also it

explains on how different males in PR work in comparison to females. Furthermore, it also gives

me more statistics on how much of increase of females have been dominating the industry.
