Summary of the Event (at least 3 major points; each point will have its own paragraph)

Hacks were targeted at the Democratic party and one of Mrs. Clintons assistants.
US government officials blamed Russia for interfering with presidential election.
According to a report the CIA formed on the matter, Russia helped President-elect
Donald Trump win the election.
Mr. Trump denies any affiliation with Russia and the allegations of Russia
intervening. Earlier this week he told Time magazine, I dont believe it. I dont believe
they interfered. He also stated his belief that the accusation against Russia was driven
politically.
The report will likely be reliant on investigations previously conducted by the FBI
on the subject. It is unknown which parts of the report, if any, will be released to the
public. It is thought that the announcement of the report, only a couple weeks before they
leave office, is more of a way to show the Obama administrations endeavor in
counterterrorism and such, implying to the next administration that Obamas people
believe it is important.
Your Opinion of the Event (at least 3 sentences).
In my opinion, the result of the election is questionable. Mrs. Clinton won the popular
vote of the people, but it was the electoral college that elected Mr. Trump. This arises the
question if the college is corrupt, or if these representatives simply made the more informed
decision.

In 1948, Lyndon B. Johnsons race for the Senate was rigged. 200 extra votes were added,
resulting in a Johnsons win by only 87 votes. There might have been further interference with
the election system on both sides. There is no evidence that Johnson personally rigged it, others
that wanted to make sure he made it into office could have made sure he won.
