Please take time to consider learners that you would like to enter for the
Learner Awards. Learners nominated must be enrolled and studying at the
College during this academic year 2016-2017.

We are not stipulating categories but suggesting them.

The proposed/suggested categories for nominations are:

Outstanding Achievement Award for the outstanding learner in your

Curriculum Department
Most improved learner
PRIDE award a learner who has made a significant contribution in any of the
PRIDE areas whilst at college:
o P: putting students first
o R: rewarding relationships
o I: inspiring people
o D: delivering excellence
o E: exceeding expectations
Special Achievement Award (overcame difficult circumstances to pursue
learning). Examples might include:
o Illness, redundancy, single parent, disability
o long term unemployed finding work
o helping others
o community contribution
o You can nominate in addition for the:
o Chair of governors Student of the Year Award
o Reddes Dainys Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sport
