Summary of the Event (at least 3 major points; each point will have its own paragraph)

A. The problem with Obamacare isnt only about taking it off quickly but the process of

it and it dealing with 20 million people across the country. House Speaker, Paul Ryan

had announced assurance saying that nobody is worse off after the removement and

that it will surely take time. Opposing to this, health experts say that even if it were to

be the simplest repeal, the aftermath would lead to unhappy patients and disruptions.

Senior Vice President of the Kaiser Family Foundation Larry Levitt also opinionated

and said, It took Democrats decades to get a health reform plan passed and

Republicans are now on the clock with much less time to figure this all out. Reforming

health care inevitably involves winners and losers and disruption, and that's why it's
controversial. If it were easy, it would have already happened.

B. "Repeal is easy. They know what to do. They've done it before," former Health and

Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt told CNN. "Replace will be more complex

there are different views on how it should be done...And I don't think there's any clarity

on that yet. In contrast, Trump had stressed out and stated that after he had won the

election, the repeal and replace would happen simultaneously. "I know how to do this

stuff," Trump told CBS's Leslie Stahl. "We're not going to have a two-year period

where there's nothing." Congressional Republicans because of the repeal are trying

tackle both of them down in an unrealistic time. Theres an option in instead making an

repeal and delay. giving the lawmakers three years to come up with a replacement
model.

C. If theres one prediction that will come with the removal of Obamacare, lawmakers will

experience fury coming from many hospitals, insurers, and drug companies.

These companies have been keeping an eye out for Obamacare ever since its release

along with Trumps public remarks. Not only are Democrats stressing out on this,

but Republicans have been urging calmness about the potential chaos of repealing

Obamacare before the replacement as in reality, insurance market is already a bit jittery.

Even if lawmakers delay the removal from going into effect, insurers are willing to

submit their initial rate filing for 2018. In effect to the deadline nearly approaching,

Republicans are starting to feel at stake. "Carriers will go on the defensive," Robert

Laszewski, who runs Health Policy and Strategy Associates, told CNNMoney. "They

will either pull out or dramatically raise rates again."

Your Opinion of the Event (at least 3 sentences).

My opinion on this even is that those who think against or with Obamacare have a valid

reason into which they stand. Theres people who really need the insurance but on the

opposing side, theres those who dont and will pay extra for literally nothing. If the

Republicans get what they want after all, I hope that theyre thinking smartly in making

a replacement for it and do something that will benefit both parties.

Relate your Event to a Historical Event (compare and contrast with current event).

A historical event I could compare this to would be to the lawmaking of the abolishment

towards slavery many years ago. Theres two sides to both events; those who oppose

and those who agree. With how debates are starting to increase because of the

repealment of Obamacare, conflict will evolve, splitting the country again into two, just

like it did with slavery. The thirteenth amendment passed and it made people move on.

If this happened with slavery ending, then a simple argument could also be abolished.

Relate your Event to the a Theme (at least 3 sentences). SEE BACK FOR THEMES

The event falls into the theme of Political Structures. Theres conflict found in the

event with political parties, Democrats and Republicans from a future action.

Conflict will also soon develop as the future actions of removing the insurance cause

people to be rather angry or delighted and start to opinionate over the topic through

both verbally or through social media.
