PROBLEM STATEMENT

The main purpose of this part is to find and identify what the problem or
difficulties that occur before do this research. Beside, this part can functioned as a
guideline in develop the program that can reduce the problem as well as can. Below is a
few of main problems that identified:

i. Complex application of program

Although there are lot of program that can be used in determine the petrol engine
performance, but they are too complex to use especially for the beginner, the
person that start to learn about the engine performance. Because of they are the
beginner, they have lack of information on how to predict engine performance by
using that complex program or software. Hence, they will face with difficulties in
do the analysis if using that program.

ii. Expensive program

Have the program for petrol engine determination is too expensive. For the most
effectives program, a person that want to study and analysis the engine
performance need to spend lot of money to get the program. For a big company
that has the able to use the program, it is fine but for an individual, this is a big
problem for them. Usually, a complex and effective program priced at least
hundreds ringgit.

iii. Lack of time in do the calculation

Especially for the researcher, they need to spent lot of their time to do the
analysis of the engine performance because in do the analysis like that, many
things need to do in purpose to meet the objectives. Do calculation processes by
manual will take lot of time because of the complex of mathematical equations
that used. So, this problem can affect another part of the analysis. For the
 beginner, the big problem is some of them didnt understand and lack of
knowledgement in do the calculation by use those equations.

iv. Lot of mathematical equations

In do the analysis for petrol engine, there are lot of mathematical equations that
need to use for the calculation process. Hence, if the researcher miss the
important equation or part of the mathematical equations, the calculation process
will give wrong result to researcher and this will make the analysis is fail in
achieve the objective as mentioned.

v. Lack of knowledge on how to use the available equations

This is the big problem for the some that didnt know how to use the suitable
mathematical equations. Use right equations are important in analysis, because
all the information of engine performance can simplify in easy form like graph or
diagram. Hence wrong mathematical equation will no help in do the graph or
diagram because it can not simplify the information.
