Role Summary/Purpose:
Performance of execution of transport orders Supervision of customs clearance in
the country of destination Manages established transport budgets Power Plant
Business Develop and manage transport logistics supply base, Executes transport
orders Controls all customs clearance Assists to contract project specific movement
Assists in the performance of Claim Management Complies to Quality & EHS policy

Essential Responsibilities:

Knowledge of applicability of INCOTERMS 2010
Experience in Customs clearance, Port clearance and related documentations
Understanding of Export Promotional Schemes
- EPCG, Advance license, Mega Status
Good experience in handling all Export and Import related movements
- Freight forwarding,
Able to manage established transport budgets, transport commercial clarifications
with local authorities
Able to manage transport & logistics in order to meet on time deliveries within
budget and with a predefined scope
Determines country and project specific customs duty rules and rates
Transportation requirements in the oil and gas industry can be unique and
complex. Stricter safety standards and the need for specialized equipment limit
the number of qualified carriers, making it harder for suppliers to quickly and
economically get freight to project sites.

DUTIES

Prepares shipping/air manifests.


Plans and schedules the shipment of goods and materials from/to offshore or overseas
locations.
Maintains documentation/certification.
Ensures special certification is obtained for transportation of dangerous goods.
Ensures that all customs documentation is completed.
Negotiates transportation costs with providers.
Arranges insurance cover for materials in transit.
Ensures that the end client is kept up to date about delivery schedules and potential delays
