Scripture Memory Verse


Then Jesus told him, Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet
have believed. John 20:29
FIRST DAY: Read the notes and the references.
1. What was meaningful to you in the lecture?
Principle2: Belief in risen Jesus starts new spiritual relationship.
Jesus resurrection completed my reconciliation with God the father

2. What help did you receive from the notes?

SECOND DAY:Read John 21:1-14.


3. From the fishing trip in these verses, what do you learn about John, Peter and the purposes and power of Jesus?
1. John was first in recognition, but Peter would be first in devotion. Here John also recognized the identity of the
stranger on the shore before Peter did. John knew that anything this wonderful had to come from Jesus.
2. Peter pushing the boat single-handed is a tacit tribute to his physical strength.

They noticed that the resurrected Jesus was still a humble servant. He took the trouble to prepare a fire and cook the
food for His disciples.
Jesus has the power to supply all our needs

4. List ways Jesus provided for His disciples in this passage and similar ways He provides spiritually for His disciples
today. Which of these ways especially encourages you?
1. Jesus prepared breakfast for His disciples this show He is a humble servant. He washed His disciples just before He was
crucified
2. Jesus provided for them the fish by telling them to cast their net the right side of the boat.

This account illustrates the principle that i should never be afraid to change my method, as long as it is at the direction of
Jesus.

5. How does this passage impact your response to the Lord in your daily circumstances?
Jesus is always with me wherever i go and in whatever i do. Jesus guides my steps always if i truly believe in Him.

THIRD DAY:Read John 21:15-17.


6. How do you see Jesus love and kindness in His questions to Peter? (See also John 18:15-18, 25-27.)
Peter had thrice denied his Lord, and now Christ gives him an opportunity in some measure to repair his fault by a triple
confession.
Jesus Christ asks each one of us, not for obedience primarily, not for repentance, not for vows, not for conduct, but for a
heart; and that being given, all the rest will follow.

7. How have you seen the Lords love and knowledge of you in the way He tailors His correction especially to fit
you and your circumstances?
I have seen Lord's love and knowledge of you in various ways, sometimes when i think i know how to do somethings
and i go ahead a do them without consulting Him. He makes me have a self examination about the issue while He is
guiding me with His greatest love.

8. Give examples of ways all believers, including those who have failed, can fulfill the Lords command to Peter.
(See also Luke 22:31-32.)
Those who have failed in the ministry should seek to be restored by Jesus by causing them to face squarely their point
of failure; then Jesus challenge and guide them to set their eyes on the work ahead.

We must take care that the sheep be properly collected, attended to, regulated, guided.

FOURTH DAY:Read John 21:18-23.


9. What did Jesus say would happen to Peter, and what did He say would happen to John?
Jesus told Peter that he would die on the cross in utter faithfulness to his Messiah and Lord.
Jesus Said to John He will be restrained, no longer the master of his own movements.

10. What does this show you about the Lord and how He deals with His children?
This shows the Lord cares about us and He knows everything about our lives.

11. How might your attitude toward a circumstance or relationship in your life change if you asked the Lord to help
you put into practice His command to Peter in John 21:22?
I have come to the conclusion that, my first and most important work is to follow my Lord.

FIFTH DAY:Read John 21:24-25.


12. List reasons John wrote this Gospel. (See also John 14:6; 20:30-31.)
John selected the signs presented in His Gospel to explain Jesus and bring readers to faith in Jesus as Messiah and God
The Gospel and all of the Bible was written so that we may believe, not that we might doubt.

13. How have Johns aims been accomplished in your life as you have studied this Gospel this year?
My faith in Jesus as my Saviour and my God has grown and now cemented with Him and In Him

SIXTH DAY:Review John 21.


14. What have you learned about God in this weeks study? How may your group pray for you as you make this truth
a part of your life?
God cares and love me, God has set ahead work for me to follow Him and spread the gospel to all the people. I would
like my group to pray for me to live and believe in this reality.
