AMAR ABHALA EWADHA- ANIL GOKHALE

Amar Shaikh, a poetic genius represents most creative phase of

working class movement. His ability to articulate imagery from within
the folds of experiences of working class was spontaneous and unique.
The imagery he created was rooted in his childhood and inspired by his
mother Munerbi. The imagery was created by compounding of various
images gathered from collective experiences of working class.
His voice facilitated the expression of verbal images as a natural
process rushing from the collective unconscious like flowering of a
dream. It was a natural process of exploration of meanings,
interpretation of images and a relentless discourse of exposition of
fetishism of capital and its ruthless rule over working masses.
It is sad that both, its Scientific and literary Value has not been
recognized. His Marxism was Natural and Poetic. His voice was
universally expressive of inner contents of meaning which have
suffered from inversion in everyday life. The Symbols, Imagery and
figures of speech were natural explorations aimed at exposition of
Commodity Fetishism rooted in the essence of production processes.
Literary Value of Amar Shaikhs Epochal Contributions to Literature
need to be restored and brought to the fore. My Article IN Marathi is
small step towards resurrection of the Ethos Named Shahir Amar
Shaikh.
