Rationale I chose to use my accounting exam because it
shows all in one that I can do what is required. I
know the accounting principles and procedures,
accounts payable vs accounts receivable, and I can
fully understand basic financial statements.
Knowledge I learned a tremendous amount of information
throughout the year that helped me be prepared for
this exam. If I got handed this exam without any
knowledge of any of this, I would have never been
able to complete it. I had to put all I knew into this
to complete the exam. We learned how to do each
section by themselves but this was the first time
we had to put it all together. I knew I just had to
focus to be able to complete the exam.
Skills I had to really focus to be able to focus on the
exam and show what I knew. I had to be able to
fill out the journal based off a narrative of
transactions. I had to be able to fill out bank
reconciliation forms, post-closing trail balance
forms, an income statement form, and a worksheet.
I had to put my mind to it to be able to complete
this exam and get a good grade.
Growth and Improvement If I could do this exam again I would change a few
Statement things. When I took the exam I was in a rush to get
it done because it seemed like so much and it took
me longer to do it because I ended up just stressing
about it. I would try to do it in smaller chunks so
that I didnt get so frustrated and didnt rush when
trying to complete it. Although, I couldnt be
happier with my final result because it shows that I
knew what I was doing.
