- Bosques Aleatorios Difusos

El maestro Andrés Díaz de la Facultad de Ingeniería y Tecnología,

Universidad de Montemorelos, México, se encuentra realizando un
doctorado en ciencias computacionales en la Universidad de Murcia,
España. Él está trabajando en un proyecto que prueba métodos de
clasificación novedosos llamado "Bosques Aleatorios Difusos" (Fuzzy
Random Forests).

Este año ya ha sido aceptado uno de sus trabajos "A Fuzzy Random
Forest: Fundamentals for Design and Construction" en el IPMU08
http://www.gimac.uma.es/ipmu08/program.html

La segunda etapa del proyecto llamada "Combination Methods in a Fuzzy

Random Forest" se envió al Congreso de la IEEE, "Systems, Man and
Cybernetics" http://www.smc2008.org/.

El maestro Harvey Alférez de la Facultad de Ingeniería y Tecnología,

capítulo titulado "An Aspect-Oriented Framework to Identify, Model and
Implement Non-Functional Requirements in Software Product Lines of
Service-Oriented Architectures" en el libro "Methodologies for
Non-Functional Requirements in Service Oriented Architecture"
publicado por IGI Global y editado por la Universidad de
Massachusetts, USA.

- Olimpiadas del Saber: Matemáticas

Las "Olimpiadas del Saber: Matemáticas" es un concurso creado por la

Corporación Universitaria Adventista de Colombia para permitirles a
los jóvenes de los grados décimo y undécimo de los colegios
adventistas de Colombia elevar su nivel académico mientras se preparan
al lado de sus docentes del área de matemáticas para superar las
pruebas.

Los docentes del área de matemáticas de los colegios adventistas del

país podrán participar en la elaboración del banco de preguntas que
alimentará el software del concurso.

- Escuche Cont@cto Digital, Un Programa Radial con Temas Tecnológicos

Transmitido desde el Campus de la Universidad de Montemorelos, México

Cont@cto Digital es un programa de radio producido en conjunto por la

Facultad de Ingeniería y Tecnología de la Universidad de Montemorelos
y la estación Univoz. Se transmite en vivo los jueves a las 10 de la
mañana y se repite los martes a las 4 de la tarde.

- Cuarto Foro Nacional de Tecnología y Primera Conferencia

Internacional Adventista de Tecnología

La Facultad de Ingeniería y Tecnología, Universidad de Montemorelos,

México, está organizando el Cuarto Foro Nacional de Tecnología del 24
al 26 de Noviembre de 2008 y la Primera Conferencia Internacional
Adventista de Tecnología del 27 al 29 de Noviembre de 2008.

Se esperan alrededor de 500 participantes de varias universidades.

Michael A. Comberiate, administrador de proyectos de la NASA, Goddard

Space Flight Center, será uno de los expositores.

- Fuzzy Random Forest

Mr. Andrés Díaz, lecturer of the Faculty of Engineering and

Technology, Montemorelos University, Mexico, is currently doing a PhD
in Computer Science at Murcia University, Spain. He is working on a
research to test novel classification methods called "Fuzzy Random
Forests."

One of his papers entitle "A Fuzzy Random Forest: Fundamentals for
Design and Construction" was presented this year at IPMU08

Mr. Harvey Alférez, lecturer of the Faculty of Engineering and

Technology, Montemorelos University, Mexico, was chosen to write a
chapter entitled

- Olympics of Knowledge: Mathematics

The "Olympics of Knowledge: Mathematics" is a contest created by the

Adventist University of Colombia to allow young people in the tenth
and eleventh grades of Adventists schools in Colombia to raise their
academic level as they prepare with their math teachers to overcome
the tests.

Teachers of mathematics in Adventist schools in the country may

participate in developing the questions bank that will feed the
software contest.

- Listen to Digital Cont@ct, A Radio Program about IT Topics

Broadcasted from the Campus of Montemorelos, Mexico

Digital Cont@ct is an IT radio program, produced by the Faculty of

Engineering and Technology, Montemorelos University and Univoz Radio.
It is broadcasted live on Thursday at 10 AM with repetition on Tuesday
at 4 PM.

- Fourth National Technological Forum and First Adventist

International Conference of Technology

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Universidad de

Montemorelos is organizing the Fourth National Technological Forum on
November 24-26, 2008 and the First Adventist International Conference
of Technology on November 27-29, 2008.

500 participants are expected to come from various universities.

Michael A. Comberiate, Project Manager at NASA/Goddard Space Flight

Center will be one of the speakers.

The Bulletin of Technology Projects and Activities is an initiative of

the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Montemorelos Univesity,
Mexico. In its moment, it is going to be formally presented to the
Education Department of the Inter-American Division. For the
meanwhile, Montemorelos University has the unique and exclusive
responsibility for publishing research projects and technology news.

The intention with our bulletin is to invite other higher education

institutions in our Inter-American Division to join efforts in the
