Part 5 (Optional) Check User Permissions are locked
as expected.
This part is only applicable if your device had individual services locked and required the user to login
for access to the services. If All Services were locked, then the device will not have this issue.
If prior to upgrade the device had User Permissions for Email and WorkFlow Scanning set to Not
Allowed for Non Logged In Users, the settings may have been lost and is now set to Allowed for Non
Logged In Users.
To reset these values perform the following steps. You can also perform these steps, then make a
clone file of just the Access & Accounting / Authentication & Authorization Configuration settings in
order to apply to other machines.
1) Open a new Web Browser window and enter the WorkCentres IP Address, using the format
"http://xx.xxx.xxx.xx".
2) Select the Properties tab located at the top of the page.
3) A Login screen may be displayed, use the System Administrators username and password.
4) Select the Login / Permissions / Accounting option, then select User Permissions.
5) Select Edit for the User Permission Roles.
7
7) Select Services & Tools, then scroll to Workflow Scanning and Email. Ensure that each service is
set correctly. The setting Not Allowed means the user has to log in before they can access the
service. If you previously had this set to Not Allowed and it is now set to Allowed. Select the Not
Allowed setting for each service as appropriate, then select Apply.
