I have more than 17 years of financial and operations management experience, providing senior level
oversight, detailed monitoring, administrative controls, grants management, and regular financial reporting.
I have been extensively involved in the finance, administration, operations, human resources, logistics,
procurement, subcontract/subaward -award management, and accounting/finance in my previous assignments.
I have developed and implemented internal controls as part of my jobs and have been the focal person for the
internal and external audits.
I have extensive experience of preparing the donor financial reports.
Currently based in Erbil Iraq as Country Finance Manager, I am responsible for effective Financial, Accounting
and Reporting Systems and development, implementation & Maintenance of Cash Management, donor and
statutory reporting, design and implementation of BVAs review, monitor and track system. I am also
responsible for the facilitation of Internal and External Audits and compliance with donor and internal
procurement procedures. I am also responsible for the Annual / Quarterly / Donor Budget preparation and
revisions and identification and follow-up for cost-share / co-financing of the projects and ensuring effective
resource management and maximization of cost effectiveness and value for money and leading the Annual
Financial operation planning process.
My greater experience is in challenging, transition, conflicts, post-conflict and post-natural disaster areas.
I have worked in Asia (Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Afghanistan), Middle East and North Africa - MENA (Jordan,
Iraq, Kuwait, Sudan), Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar), East Africa (Uganda, South Sudan,
Rwanda) , West Africa (Nigeria) in various organizations and have managed financial, controllership,
budgeting, auditing, internal controls, cost allocation and financial training, Logistics, procurement and IT
departments.
I have extensive experience in financial management of donor-funded programs, including USAID, OFDA,
USDOL, DFID, UNDP, UNHCR, NORAD, WHO, DANIDA, EC, ECHO, Norwegian MFA etc.
I am well-versed in establishing internal controls, sub-granting and capacity building of finance staff. I have
experience working in politically sensitive settings and am well conversant in various donors rules and
regulations.

I have good command and understanding of using the accounting software; Agresso, Serenic NAV, SUN
Accounting System, MASS 90, ACCPAC, Agresso, NAVISION, Microsoft Dynamics and feel comfortable about
their installation, operations and management. .
I have worked in a multi -cultural environment and have been able learn and grow in a multi cultural
environment. I am a quick learner and self-starter and a strong team player.
